two vipers curl around the board
both with curled hands and cunning eyes
they move their pieces again toward
the winning move, their strokes belie
a certain will, to win and lose
dividing pieces into two
Gomoku, with sudden waves
begins to betray ancient ways
reveal a move, which strikes too true!
the winning snake lifts victorious eyes
it celebrates, while the other's blue
perhaps again they'll roll the die
