mount hiei lilts softly today
with its sweet song calls and river's words
as mountain peaks begin to grey
the raining wails will call back to meI listen to the trickling tears
as frozen days enable fears
in budding, hidden flowers rest
the shining hope that chokes my breathmy shoes are off and rope secured
I looked into the future's door
mount hiei lilts softly today
though I don't know why, anymoreI take a step just all too soon
scattered among the morning soil
when midday sun turns afternoon
my lonely dread claws for lifemount hiei lilts softly today
its skies are brighter, though they still are grey
with sweet song calls and river words
it calls to me, the phoenix bird.
