~Mia's POV~

I was having lunch with my half sister, Taeyeon, for my birthday when my phone rang. I looked at it to see it was one of my friends. I flipped my phone over and turned down the ringer.

"Why don't you answer it?" She asked.

"It's just somebody calling to wish me a happy birthday." I shrugged. "I'll call them back later or they can text me. I'd rather spend time with my sister who I rarely get to see."

I grabbed her hand and we both smiled.

"I'm so proud of you, Mia." She said, causing me to blush. "Seriously, you've come so far."

"I have you to thank for that, Tae." I replied. "I wouldn't be where I am if it weren't for such a powerful inspiration I had to follow."

I squeezed my sister's hand and she looked as if she was about to cry. That's when my phone rang again. I immediately turned it off before looking at it. I smiled at my sister only to have it go off again.

"Must be important." She snickered.

I rolled my eyes as I looked at who was calling, only to have my eyes widen from shock.

"It's Jungkook oppa." I looked at her.

She smiled. "Take it."

I smiled at her before stepping outside to answer the call.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Happy Birthday to you~" A sweet voice sung to me. I couldn't help but blush. His voice was so pretty and to have him sing happy birthday to me made my heart skip a beat. "Happy Birthday Mia!"

"Thank you oppa." I snickered.

"Are you busy?" He asked.

"No, I just didn't answer the first time because I felt like it." I said sarcastically.

"Oh I see." I heard a change in his voice. He sounded disappointed all of a sudden. It broke my heart and I tried to fix it.

"Oppa, I'm having lunch with my sister." I confessed. "And I've been getting calls all morning so I flipped my phone over because I rarely get to see her and wanted all my attention on her."

"Wait," Jungkook spoke. "So you didn't even see who was calling?"

"No." I replied.

"Okay, then I apologize for taking time away from you and your sister." He sounded happier now. I didn't understand, though. "I just wanted to wish you a happy birthday with my voice, not just text."

I smiled. "I appreciate it. Give love to the members for me."

"Will do." He said. "Give love to Taeyeon sunbaenim for me."

"Are you even close?" I snickered.

"Nope but doesn't mean we can't be, right?" He said.

I scoffed. "Goodbye oppa."

"Bye Mia." He said. "Have a good day."

I bit my lip as I smiled before hanging up. I held my phone to my chest as I swooned before joining back up with my sister who, of course, couldn't go without teasing me about my crush but what kind of sister would she be if she didn't.

~Jun Chai's POV~

We were all doing our own thing at the Hangang Park. We had a picnic near the river for my birthday, which is what I wanted to do. After eating, everyone split off. The older members helped clean up, some rested under the sun or went on walks, and the youngers went to play around the park. As for me, I got up and made my way over to the river. I sat on the edge, dipping my feet into the water. It made me smile as I missed being near water; it had been a while since I visited water. Before too long, Ray came and joined me.

"You know, I don't think we're allowed to be this close to the water in this area." Ray spoke.

"I know." I snickered. "I don't care, though."

I stared out at the water, smiling at how peaceful it was.

"I missed it, Ray." I told him. "It's been a while."

It was quiet for a moment before Ray spoke.

"Jun Chai." He got my attention. "What is it about water that you like so much?"

I snickered. "It's peaceful, soothing...beautiful. I grew up swimming so the water is like another home to me. And when I was swimming, that was the one state where nothing mattered. I didn't have worries; I feel free when I'm near water."

I looked at Ray after speaking to see his eyes sparkling from water themselves.

"Why are you crying?" I asked.

"Oh, am I?" He asked, wiping his eyes. "That was just so beautiful. I never knew you felt that way."

"Yeah, most people don't." I replied.

"And you felt comfortable telling me?" He asked.

I looked at him. "Of course. You're my family."

Ray looked down and smiled. That's when he pulled his hand out of his pocket.

"Happy Birthday, Jun Chai." He suddenly said.

I put my hand out and he dropped something into it: a turtle key chain made from fabric. It was unique, though. I had never seen an animal key chain made from sewing.

"Woah!" I exclaimed as I found it cool. "Where did you get this? It's so cool!"

"I made it." Ray muttered.

"Are you serious?!" I looked at him. "Ray, I didn't know you could do this."

His cheeks grew red as he grew quiet. "Yeah, it's something I do on my spare time. I learned when I was young. And since we were visiting the river, I thought a water animal would be fitting. I personally like turtles so I hope it's okay that I made one."

"Of course. It's unique." I explained. "I've never seen something like it. Ray, you could make a real profit off of this talent."

Ray shook his head. "I don't want to."

"Ray, this isn't something to be embarrassed of."

"I'm not embarrassed. I just think they're sentimental. I want it to be my thing, my gifts. Not anyone else's."

I couldn't help but smile at his sentimentality.

"Thank you, Ray." I said. "I love it."

Ray nodded. And with that, the two of us sat there, enjoying the peaceful river together, just talking about random things. I loved doing that with Ray more than anyone, and his gift made my birthday special.
