~Daiyu's POV~

I checked myself in the mirror for probably the hundredth time.

"You look great." Axel said from the driver's seat beside me.

I looked over at him and just sighed. "Why am I here?"

"Because deep down you want to be." He replied.

"But why?" I asked him, hoping he had an answer.

Axel snickered. "If I told you, you would deny it."

"Try me." I raised a brow.

"You like Asher." He flat out stated.

My eyes widened and I sat back in my seat as I thought. Last time I saw him, he told me he was hurt that I pretended like I didn't want to be around him and I genuinely felt bad. And thinking about how I want to see him but act like I don't makes me somewhat think that what Axel is saying is true.

"Maybe." I muttered.

"Wow!" Axel exclaimed. "Is Daiyu showing emotion right now?"

"Shut up!" I pushed his shoulder. "You don't show emotions either!"

"I do more than you!" He shouted back.

I stuck my tongue out at him and sat back, crossing my arms. "I show my feelings with actions, okay?"

"And there's nothing wrong with that." Axel smiled. "But go show somebody that cares about you that you care about them too."

I stared at him and sighed. "I'll see you later oppa."

"I'll pick you up at eight." He told me.

I nodded and got out of the car. I walked into the restaurant and looked around, my eyes landing on the people I was looking for. I took a deep breath before making my way over, my eyes fixed on the birthday boy. As I got closer, he noticed my presence and looked up. His eyes widened when he saw me.

"Daiyu." He stood up.

I gave a small smile. "Got room for one more?"

His lips curled into a smile. "Of course."

I smiled and sat down in the empty seat beside him, which was actually taken by his groupmate Sun but he got up when he saw me.

"I was keeping it warm for you." Sun teased me.

I just nodded in thanks before looking at the menu. While doing so, I felt a gaze upon me. I looked at Asher to see him staring at me. It was like that the whole night, though I did actually talk to him once in a while.

I felt my phone buzz and looked at it to see it was Axel, and that it was eight o'clock. Although all of Asher's friends were still celebrating his birthday, I didn't want to make Axel drive home and back again.

"My ride is here." I said, placing my napkin from my lap onto the table.

"Oh." Asher said then rushed to stand up. "I'll walk you out!"

I looked at him, a bit surprised, and although the normal me would have said something snarky, I didn't want to this time. I just nodded and let him do so. He lead me out of the restaurant and I saw Axel right away.

"There's Axel." I said before starting to walk away.

"Daiyu, wait!" Asher grabbed my arm to keep me from leaving. I turned to him as his pull made me. "Thank you for coming."

I just stared at him. I thought it was odd that he was thanking me.

"Thanks for inviting me." Was all that I could say.

I watched as he bit his lip. "You look really pretty by the way."

My eyes widened as I was surprised by his sudden compliment but found myself trying not to smile. At that time, I realized I had made him something as a present. I reached into my purse and pulled it out, a drawing of him that I had done.

"Something I made last minute." I handed it to him. "Happy Birthday."

Asher took and looked at the drawing. His smile grew wide.

"Daiyu, you are so good at drawing." He said.

I just looked down. His compliments used to never mean anything to me, but somehow, tonight, they actually sound genuine and make me smile.

"Thank you, Daiyu." Asher said, suddenly hugging me.

I froze as his arms wrapped around my body. My arms were stuck but I stared at him as he broke from our hug. For once, I fell for his good looks and I expected him to lean in, kiss me, and I was actually hoping for it. But he just smiled and stepped back.

"See you around, Daiyu." He smiled before walking into the restaurant, slipping my drawing into his pocket.

I let out a deep breath before turning around and making my way to Axel's car.

"Well tonight seemed to go well." Axel grinned.

"Just drive." I demanded.

Axel snickered and did as he was told. I just sat there, staring out the window. Although it did go well, I was somewhat angry. For once, I wanted him to actually do something and he didn't. What a jerk.

-Sunday, May 22, 2022~6:31PM-

~Mia's POV~

Our food arrived and I watched as everyone started to eat. I looked at Axel whom I had talked to previously. He prompted me to do as we had discussed.

"Wait!" I shouted. Everyone froze and looked at me. I smiled and grabbed my glass. "We have to make a toast."

"Of course!" Jun Chai exclaimed, being the first to raise his glass. Everyone followed in his footsteps.

I looked at Axel and he nodded. "You got this."

I smiled and looked at everyone. "I know E11EVEN doesn't have a leader, but if you don't mind, I would like to do the honors."

"You got it noona!" Donghyun gave me a thumbs up.

Everyone nodded and I smiled as I spoke my words I had prepared all day. "I know this year has been tough because we haven't been on stage since our birthday last year, but Pinky groups have struggled all year and are making comebacks, us included. We have been working hard on our first full album, every single one of us, and I know this year will be great for us. Let's put this last year behind us and focus on the future. To E11EVEN!"

"To E11EVEN!" Everyone raised their glass with me and cheered.

I sat down proud of myself and looked over at Axel. He nodded with a proud smile and I couldn't feel happier. Although E11EVEN doesn't have a leader, our members often feel like Axel and I are the leaders, just because we have mother and father qualities, so I wanted to make our group proud and I hope I did just that.

Hey guys! I wanted to add their comeback too but I accidentally made the Daiyu POV too long so I'll just have it in the next chapter, along with birthdays I was going to skip and now don't have to lol so expect another chapter later this week! Also, sorry for skipping bdays. I've been saying that every update of my groups but it's needed because I've been behind and I'm trying to not be anymore and I'm going to try my best to keep that. Hope you guys understand and I will see you very soon! Biez!
