    Personality: Jem tends to act mature and independent because she's used to being around older kids and had to take care of herself for more than 2 years. Jem was babied a lot as a child by her brothers so she can also be carefree, as well as very sociable and popular. She is very passionate and has a tendency to get mad if someone disturbs her while she's working. Basically she doesn't act like a typical maknae. She believes in work first, play later.
    Background: Jem was born and raised in Canada, but moved to Korea when she was 14 with her brother, Jacob, to become a kpop idol. Her parents, however, didn't like the idea of leaving school so she made a deal that she'll continue school and get good grades if they let her go. She and her brother took care of each other when they first came to Korea. After her brother debuted, Jem got a job so she could take care of herself and not burden Jacob. She didn't tell her parents this because she was scared that they would force her to move back to Canada, and she didn't tell her brother either. Jem wasn't able to get into Cre.Ker Entertainment with her brother and had continued to audition for different companies. She ended up choosing Pinky Entertainment because it seemed more interesting than other companies.
