ʚ𝐘/𝐍'𝐒 𝐏𝐎𝐕ɞ

It's been a week.

A week since I've seen him, a week since I've spoken to him, and a week that he's been ignoring me. I have no idea why, I'm completely in the dark and I hate it. He told me I'd see him the day after his "thing."

He lied.

After that day, I messaged him. He didn't reply. So I tried again the next day. He didn't reply. And this went on until today when I decided I wasn't going to message him anymore, I was going to confront him. The first place I tried was his house. I walked the short distance there while it was still daylight in hopes that he would be there.

He wasn't.

So my next destination was his work. He blew off work a lot because he wanted to be with me more, I tried to convince him that it was bad but he didn't listen. Maybe he was ignoring me to make up for lost time at work?

He wasn't.

It took me longer to walk to his work than anticipated, with it being just outside of town so the light from the sky was slowly dissipating. I decided Nanami's was my next best bet. I may have blown off work a few times myself to be with
Megumi, but maybe he's there being an asshole to the other baristas,

"Hey Nanamin, have you seen Megumi at all recently?" He sighs as he makes his way over to me

"I'm not supposed to tell you this, but he told me that if you came here asking about him that I was to tell you that he doesn't want to talk to you kid"

I'm speechless, what do you say when you're told someone doesn't want to talk to you?

"Did you guys got into a fight or something?" he asked, I didn't answer I turned around without a word and left the coffee shop.

There was only one other place that I could think for him to be, the place that I stupidly should've checked first.

The bench by the abandoned park. That's where he would be, I was sure of it.

And I was right. He was sat there in his usual dark clothing underneath the tree, but he looked messier than usual.

His hair was all over the place, like he'd been running his fingers through it repeatedly. His T-shirt was all wrinkled as if he'd been wearing it for days. And his face looked a mess too. A mess of emotions that were evident even from so far away. I could see them, I could see the sadness, the guilt, the anger, I could see all of it. I just didn't know why they were there.

I walked over slowly, I don't know why I was feeling so fucking nervous to talk to him, but I was almost shaking.

"Megumi?"

His head shoots up and his eyes soften as they meet mine. But that softness soon fades as he stands up abruptly and looks away from me.

"You need to leave Y/n" his voice holds no emotion at all, it's just void.
