Cookie Run: HeartBreak.

⚠︎ Faraway Ocean

⚠︎ - mild swearing, sentence in all caps, mention of death, near drowning

after walking for a while, GingerBrave and his friends found themselves near a wide ocean. the water was clear and reflected the clouds in the sky. crabs were crawling along the calm and empty beach, and a cookie in blue could be seen standing on a long dock. they were doing a pose and standing really still.
"they seem to be really in focus..." GingerBright commented quietly.
"it's best not to disturb it" Strawberry said.
"but...! cookie... paradise... aaaahh!" Zombie moaned as they ran towards the cookie.
"Zombie, no!" GingerBrave shouted, but it was too late. Zombie ran down the dock, which startled the cookie. they quickly turned around and dropped something in the ocean before pushing back Zombie.
"don't disturb my training..." they said.
the rest of the cookies ran up to them and apologized.
"we're sorry... Zombie can get a little carried away sometimes" GingerBright said.
"it's alright. just keep watch over your friend."
"we will... anyway, what's your name?" GingerBrave asked.
"i'm Ninja."
"i sorta figured..." Strawberry commented.
"do you happen to know anything about a cookie paradise?" GingerBrave asked.
"i don't think so... damn it!"
"what happened?"
"it seems my shuriken fell in the ocean..."
"on... it...!" Zombie moaned as they jumped into the water.
"Zombie, no. you tend to get carried away with-"
"Zombie can't swim...!" GingerBrave shouted with fear in his voice. he slowly got into the water and tried to swim towards Zombie.
"oh, well... i'm scared of ruining my skirt" GingerBright said.
"i'm not a good swimmer..." Strawberry said, disappointed.
"i'm pretty sure we'll be okay" Skater commented.
"no, we won't! the ocean is deep, and there's all sorts of weird creatures in it..."
"it'll be fine, Strawberry! after all, you're with GingerBright."
"i-i know... but-"
Strawberry was cut off when Skater pushed her and GingerBright into the ocean.
"that wasn't very nice. you deserve to go in with them after what you've done to them" Ninja commented.
"but i'm not a good swi-"
Ninja pushed Skater into the ocean before he could finish his sentence, along with his skateboard. he quickly grabbed his skateboard before trying to swim towards the others. they were all being pushed back by the gentle waves.
"i'm sorry, Ninja!" GingerBrave cried.
"...it's fine" Ninja responded quietly.
"i-i'm sorry, Strawberry... i shouldn't have pushed you two into the water" Skater apologized.
"i'm fine, but..."
Strawberry noticed that the cookies were slowly sinking deeper into the water. they didn't have enough energy to try swimming more, and they were far away from the dock.
"oh, shi- WE'RE GONNA DIE!" Skater yelled.
"we won't, you coward! let's find nearby land" GingerBrave told him.
"there... is no nearby land" Strawberry said in sorrow before their mouths got covered by the water.
before they knew it, the group was underwater. they couldn't see anything well, and everything in front of them was just blue or a faint shadow. the cookies tried to grab each other's hands, but it was hard due to the density of the water around them. they were sinking deeper and trying to hold their breaths until they saw a strange shadow swimming towards them.
"looks like i came just in time!"

note: another chapter done! you're probably able to guess who will show up in the next chapter, and i'm pretty excited. it's weird writing a shorter chapter after so many long ones, but this one has some trigger warnings as with almost all chapters that will be in this book. thanks for reading, and i hope you enjoy the next chapter.
