GingerBrave and his friends started backing away from the figure in the water until it got closer. it was a blue and pink shark with wide, blue eyes and a smile.
"don't worry! just come with me and i'll bring you guys somewhere safe" they said.
the cookies followed the shark who was pulling some of them along to a large ship. they got their heads out of the water and were able to see the ship up close, which was mostly white with an accommodation and a space below that was used to hold many different things. the shark got on the ladder and transformed into a cookie with legs while climbing up, followed by the others. once all of the cookies were on, they took a look around the ship while the shark, now cookie, walked into the accommodation area where the captain was. she had short, blue hair and was wearing a white captain's blazer. she appeared to be old in age, but she was facing the ocean making it hard to notice.
"o0OoOoOo0... o0OO0oo0o0Oo0!" they told her.
"that's nice to hear, Sorbet Shark! do you know where they came from?" she asked.
"0Oo0Oo0oO0o0ooO..."
"well, i'm glad they're safe now... welcome them in here! i'd like to meet them."
"0Oo0Oo0oO0oO0O!"
Sorbet Shark walked out and motioned for the group of cookies to head to the accommodation area. they walked in and felt special that they were in the area were the captain was.
"what a nice ship!" GingerBrave commented.
"thank you! i'm happy to have visitors on this ship" she responded.
"what's your name, Miss Captain?" GingerBright asked.
"call me Captain Ice. welcome aboard the Icepiercer, my ship!"
"oOo0o0oO0OO0!" Sorbet Shark said, though the other cookies couldn't understand them.
"huh?" GingerBrave asked in confusion.
"i didn't really understand..." Strawberry said.
"apologies... Sorbet Shark speaks in bubbles when they're in their cookie form, but they're able to speak normally when in shark form" Captain Ice explained.
"i see..."
"like... Zombie... differ... shark...!" Zombie moaned.
"o0Oo0o0oO0Oo!" Sorbet Shark said in response.
"so you can understand them?" Skater asked.
"during all these years of working with them, we've learned how to translate their bubbles. it was difficult, but we eventually got there" Captain Ice responded.
just then, another cookie walked onto the deck. they had light blue hair and was wearing a sailor uniform. they were carrying a conch shell as they walked.
"i heard new voices... is everything okay?" they asked in a quiet voice.
"oh, you came at the perfect time!" Captain Ice exclaimed.
the cookie noticed the newcomers and walked up to them.
"hello, everyone...!"
"oh, hello! what's your name?" GingerBright asked.
"i'm Peppermint. why is it the perfect time for me to come, Captain?"
"i was just telling our visitors about how Sorbet Shark speaks in bubbles. aren't you good at translating them?" Captain Ice asked.
"yes! i can translate them for you all if needed..."
"thank you! i thought we were gonna have a pretty tough time" GingerBrave said.
"i understand... we try to give our visitors the best experience, so i help with that."
"0o0O0O0ooOO0o0!" Sorbet Shark said happily.
"they just said 'Peppermint's a good friend!'"
"that's good! i'm glad you two are getting along!" GingerBright commented.
"what's that thing in your hand?" Skater asked.
"oh, this? it's a conch..." Peppermint responded.
"so you can hear the sounds of the ocean?" Strawberry asked.
"yes! i've befriended a lot of different sea creatures during my journeys... so this is how i listen to them."
"that's sounds... amazing!"
"it is! come on."
Peppermint led the group back to the deck and bent down near the water.
"uhh... p-please be careful!" GingerBright said.
"i'm okay. i'm used to doing this" they responded.
they looked at the ocean for a while until a dolphin swam up to them. they reached out their hand, and the dolphin gave them a high-five.
"so cool!" GingerBrave commented.
"yeah! i can summon my best friend, the Peppermint Whale as well, but he's only for emergencies..."
"that's cute..." Strawberry commented.
"wow! you must be a smart little... uhh..." GingerBright said, a little uncertain about their gender.
"little. just call me little" they responded.
"alright!"
"what's the room below the deck?" GingerBrave asked.
"it's basically my room, as well as the room of my brothers and sisters" Peppermint responded.
"that sounds nice!" GingerBright commented.
"well, they're not really my siblings... they're just other sailors who are close to me."
"it's nice to have people who are close to you" GingerBrave commented.
"i'd say my friends are close to me!" GingerBright said happily.
"it seems like it!" Peppermint said.
