April 30, 2015 the day I, Simon Lewis, turn into a prisoner

It's been a while since I've seen her. I want to know if she's okay. We were caught by them. Isabelle was already passed out by that time from the smoke. They took us to the hospital but we were separated in the process. And now I'm here in the white room full of nothingness, about to go crazy.

Every now and then they bring food and water if they're feeling generous. But today I haven't had any luck.

"Simon?" Rebecca called. She would sort of visit me everyday. I say sort of because she's just a voice over. I never respond to her because well she's a cunt for helping them take Isabelle away. I don't even know if the story she told me was true. Either way, she doesn't deserve a response.

"Please talk to me. I did this for you. She was a bad influence on you. You need to go back to your real life and quit playing house."

Do I even have a real life anymore? 'Playing house' became real life to me. We were married and happy. And they took it away from us. That's something I can never forgive.

Isabelle's POV

"Ms. Lightwood breakfast is ready." said the annoying maid they always sent to wake me up. I sighed. "I'll be out in a sec."

The maid nodded and left.

She was so annoying. I hated that I'm back here at home in my own bed. All of this seems so foreign now. Like is this really how I lived before? I guess two years living in the real world makes you think differently. I sighed, reluctantly getting up from the bed to get ready. I can't keep my family waiting. I had a lot of explaining to do according to Alec.

When I got to dining hall, it was just Alec waiting at the table. "Good morning," he greeted, a smile forming on his lips.

"Where's Mom and Dad?"

"Went to work. They said they'd like to talk to you after they get back."

Didn't sound too important if they aren't rushing to speak with me. I sat down across from him, waiting for the maids to come bring me my meal. "How have you been?" I asked. We hadn't had a lot of time to talk since the incident from when Simon and I were uprooted from our lives in Australia.

"Alright. Still going to college. Still following what Dad wants." That made me frown. He always followed what Dad wanted. All the dreams he had before were long gone.

"I know what you're thinking, but it's better this way."

"Is it though?" I challenged. Is being bound to your sibling for life right? Not following your dreams and living a life an old generation wrote out for you? What did they do to Alec to make him agree to this insanity?

"You'll understand when we meet with the elders today."

Simon's POV

"Simon please.."

Rebecca has been trying extra hard to get me to talk but I lost the words to say anything to her. She sighed, sounding defeated. After a long pause she whispered. "Isabelle is okay. She's back to her old life."

Her old life...

"No." I managed to choke out.

"Si?"

A door miraculously opened and in Rebecca came. "You're talking." She smiled.

"Where's Izzy?"

"You can't ever see her again. She's bad news. We're leaving for Los Angeles tomorrow. Then this will be all over."

I got up slowly and started walking towards Rebecca. Just the sight of her aggravates me. How can she decide what's best for me when she hasn't been around since I was eleven? I don't care anymore. I just need to see Isabelle again. We made a deal and I always make good on my deals.

"Let me go."

"Simon I can't do that. Not yet at least."

"Let me go before I do something I regret, Becky." I snarled. She flinched slightly but still stood her ground. "No."

And with one swift motion, my fist made contact with her jaw, knocking her out cold. "I'm sorry but you made me do it." I whispered before running towards the exit. I'm pretty sure that wherever I am, it has a lot of guards. Getting out won't be easy but it's possible.

I managed to escape but not without a couple of scrapes and bruises to last for a while. I went to the only place I knew I would be safe. I climbed through the fire escape and tapped on the window. I don't know how long I waited until she finally opened the window.

"Simon?" She mumbled, still half asleep.

"Hey Red," I smiled. "What's up?"
