Katakuri was right. Donuts are peak
---

The next day was something I was not expecting. Queen put a pause on our punishment and instead instructed for a video den den mushi to be turned on. The three of us who stood on the Sumo platform watched in confusion as Queen waited in anticipation for some woman named Komurasaki to show up in the projection on the stone wall. Or maybe he wasn't. As I said, we're pretty confused.

"What's going on?" I thought aloud.

"What's the place on the screen?" Luffy questioned as well.

"That's the Prisoners' Quarters in Rasetsu Town. Many criminals are held there, though not as many as here," Hyo answered. The screen displayed a man being tied up onto a very tall cross before said cross was lifted up to stand tall. Once the man's face was in plain view and the cloth covering his hair fell off, Hyo gasped and took a few steps back. The crowd created in a similar manner.

Luffy quickly took notice and asked, "Do you know him?"

"Yea, I know him pretty well..." Hyo responded, "That gentleman... used to be one of the Daimyo who served under the Kozuki Clan along with Oden-sama... He is... Shimostuki Yasuie!" Of course, that name did not mean much to the two of us, but to the citizens of Wano, it was clearly big.

The people in the crowd started shouting for someone to take him back down, and Yasuie laughed in response, like he wasn't about to get executed. I looked back at Hyo who was clearly having a hard time with this. "So he served under the previous family... that explains why this is being made so public..." I reasoned.

I returned my attention to the screen when the man on death's door began to speak to the crowd, "It is no use, everyone! Orochi will not let me go! First, I want to apologize to everyone about two things! Then I want to say one thing to the stupid Orochi! After I say those things, I can leave for kingdom come, laughing."

He was shot promptly after that last sentence. I cringed a bit, seeing as the shot skimmed his head, making it bleed. The crowd screamed the man's name in horror while the shooter began to list off what Yasuie was being charged for. On the given list, the it said that Yasuie was the famous thief of the Flower Capital, according to a confession. Yasuie quickly admitted that he lied about being the thief.

After that, he let out another laugh and said, "Shogun-dono is such an idiot, I feel sorry for his subordinates! Now, everyone! Look at the beautiful Flower Capital! The view of the Land of Wano is magnificent! For generations, this scenery was developed by the Kozuki Clan and the common people. We take pride in it! You cannot take the credit for that, too! Kurozumi Orochi! Do you hear me Orochi?! There used to be immense forests and fields with vegetation. Rivers! Villages! And you are just contaminating them with dirt of greed! YOU'RE NOTHING BUT VERMIN!"

Old man Hyo walked closer to the screen as tears ran down his face, staring at the man he knew long before any ruin came to this country. I turned my gaze away from him and set my eyes on Luffy, who returned my attention. "This Yasuie guy is pretty incredible to be using his death to make an announcement," I hummed.

My captain nodded to me, "Yea, I wish we could have met him."

Our eyes flicked back to the image displayed on the wall when Yasuie stopped laughing and returned to his speech, "There is another thing... that I want to apologize for. About the flyer with the symbol that went around recently. It has been 20 years since the name Kozuki perished. Now I cannot gather enough soldiers to seek my revenge, and I feel bad about the Kozuki Clan. So I made the flyer! The symbol does not mean anything! That is... just a prank! AHAHAH!"

My eyes widened at this. He knew about the symbol before anyone even told him about it. The plans must have been leaked, or else this guy wouldn't be trying to make up some cover story for it.
