UM??? WHY ARE SO MANY ONE PIECE ONESHOTS ANGSTY??? I DIDN'T ASK TO CRY?! I JUST WANTED FLUFFY HAPPY MOMENTS BUT I CAN'T STOP READING THESE SAD ONE SHOTS SINCE THEY'RE SO GOOD. IDK WHAT TO DO W MYSELF
---We all headed off as a group once each of us got a piece of Rayleigh's Vivre Card. I put it my paper into the hidden pocket on the inside of my boot. I feel like my boots are unbreakable. They've got me through so much. But anyway, we needed to survive on the island for three days while Rayleigh coated the ship.
"Who would have thought..." Franky thought aloud beside me as we walked near the back of the group, "that we'd meet one of the Pirate King's crewmates in a place like this. It surprised me. He really left an impression, especially for a geezer."
I smiled a little and nodded, "Mhmmm definitely an impression."
"Well, he is the most famous of Roger's crewmates, after all!" Usopp chimed in on the other side of the cyborg.
"So he was a crewmate on the Oro Jackson, huh?" the blue haired man hummed in thought. "I'm glad I've met him!"
"Oh, so you're the type of guy who respects his elders?" Usopp questioned.
Franky got embarrassed, but that was cut shot by Luffy suggesting we go to the amusement park to hide. No one agreed with him besides Brook and Chopper. I did want to go to the amusement park, though that doesn't sound like the best idea.
"Oh yea, what's going on between you and that crazy guy from the auction house, (y/n)?" Usopp asked, looking over to me.
I shook my head, "Nothing is going on between us. I just met him at a bar and I guess he already knew about me. He flirted a bit, but I went there strictly for booze."
"I'm surprised it doesn't happen to you more," the sniper chimed, giving me an undercover compliment.
"Don't jinx me, Usopp," I said. Everyone else was still talking about how we were going to hide until everything went silent as we caught the sight of... Kuma?
"Who're you?" Luffy asked. Oh right, he never met him.
Kuma stayed silent and reached a gloveless hand forward, showing a hole in his palm. Sanji warned his captain to dodge what we thought was supposed to be a shockwave, so Luffy jumped away just in time to avoid it. It turned out to be a beam? Since Luffy still didn't know who this was, Usopp quickly explained where we knew the Shichibukai from.
In response, Luffy readied his second gear form after knowing how powerful our opponent was. Something about Kuma... was different, though. I don't understand why he feels different, but he does. And why the hell was it a beam and not the devil fruit ability from last time? I shook my head and ran from the beam that was thrown my way. This isn't the time to be questioning people I barely know.
It was exhausting even trying to take this guy down even once. Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, and I all stayed on the forefront of the fight while the others fled in order to avoid getting in the way. The fight consisted mostly of us barely dodging the beams he threw our way, so I was losing my breath. Eventually, we all attacked his stomach at the same time, finally being able to send him flying into some nearby abandoned buildings. I panted with my hands on my hips as I stared at the dirt cloud from the collision.
"He's that different?" Luffy huffed beside me. "Maybe he's a twin then?" We had informed him of the man's weird behavior that just didn't add up with the Kuma on Thriller Bark.
"Yea, it's a possibility!" Sanji replied, also out of breath.
"Anyway, the real one would've teleported and dodged our attacks... more than that, he doesn't use shockwaves, and doesn't got paws, either!" Zoro added.
