Chapter Ten~A Surprising Number Of Volunteers.

The day arrived for Alfie and I to get tested for the kidney transplant for Elena. We really hoped we would be matches so Elena could have the operation as soon as possible. I didn't want her getting any worse than she already was. I was willing to go through any pain to save her life. Alfie and I had arrived to the ward twenty minutes early so we could visit Elena. That's where we encountered a huge shock. In Elena's room waiting for us were Zoë, Louise, Caspar, Jim, Tanya, Marcus, Niomi, Chai, Oli and Poppy. "What are you all doing here?" I questioned curiously, confusion clearly emphasised in the tone of my voice. "We've come to get tested of course." Tanya smiled. I was taken aback, so taken aback in fact that I burst into tears out of shock.

"Sorry, I'm just so grateful. I can't believe you're willing to do such a thing like that." I admitted after Caspar pulled me in for a tight, manly hug. "Of course we are. Elena means a lot to all of us." Chai said. I grinned. We all spoke for a bit before all getting tested. The tests included blood tests, ultrasounds, xrays and other things like that. It took ages and it was 10pm at night when we all finished them. We all took a trip to Nandos for dinner and spoke of memories about Elena as per usual, Elena's parents were looking after the kids for me. We would get the results back the next day, I just hope it was positive. I just needed something to be positive.
