-Joe-
Christmas day had arrived, but it was more special than usual. Why? Elena and I were renewing our vows today. We were getting re-married at Kenwood House in London, so we travelled there the day before. Excitement came over me as I glanced through the window to see that the ground was covered in a blanket of snow. A white Christmas couldn't be more perfect on the day when I get to tell my wife how much I love her again. At 11:30 I got changed into my suit. The tailed jacket and trousers were black but the jacket had thin red lines down the edges on the collar. My shirt was plain white and I wore a red tie, waistcoat and a red handkerchief sat in my top right pocket. I did my hair perfectly before applying my aftershave and walking downstairs to meet the others. My best men were Casp, Will and Oli. Their suits only differed from mine with their white waistcoat instead of red. The same guests were there as our wedding which were all youtubers, mates, family and family friends. I waited at the end of the aisle feeling extremely exciting. Sam was beside me wearing again a suit similar to mine but his waistcoat was black this time and he wore a little top hat (he begged me to buy him one so he could look like a circus ringleader)
We Belong by Pat Benatar started to play louder, a song that Elena and I enjoy screaming out of tune to each other in the car, followed by the grand old fashioned doors to open. Gracie and Chrissy skipped down first wearing one strapped blood red dresses and red rose flower crowns in their hair. My wife then walked in with Alfie by her side proudly. She wanted him to give her away this time. She looked absolutely stunning. She wore a strapless blood red lacy dress that flowed out just at her knees. She wore red lipstick and as usual eyeliner on her eye that flicked out at the corner of her eye. Her hair was curly and big. We caught eye contact and she engaged into a hilarious lip sync performance to the song as she walked towards me while doing air grabs with her free hand. The guests chuckled and clapped her as she reached the front. "Here we are again." She smiled. I nodded and kissed her cheek. Sam passed us our rings which were golden and one side it had the deathly hallows symbol etched into it and on the other "always" was carved into it. I looked deeply into her eyes and started to speak.
"Elena, my love. This past year has been the most difficult one of our lives. When you briefly taken away from me, my whole world crashed down around me. Seeing you there unconscious and unresponsive made me realise how empty the world is without you. You truly are what makes my life complete. I cried night after night when I couldn't hear your voice or have your fingers interlock with mine. It was unbearable. I'm not myself without you. As Pat just sang, we belong together. It's true. You're so beautiful, not a day goes by where I'm not grateful for having someone so perfect, kind and bloody hilarious as you as my wife. I believe that this year has brought us closer together as a couple, as we nearly lost each other. It proved that we need each other. With this geeky ring, I promise to carry on staying by your side and to love with you with all my heart for eternity. You're my forever. I love you Elena. Without you, I am nothing." I told her lovingly before sliding the ring on her finger. She beamed with happiness and wiped away her tear before holding my hand and returning her vows.
"Joseph, I don't know where I'd be without you. You kept me strong through my recovery when I was losing hope and close to giving up. You provided support and love to make me feel safe and secure. You've been there ready to hold my hand whenever my anxiety left from my accident tries to take over. You're my rock. You've helped me become me again. You make me so happy everyday with your spontaneous kisses and awful jokes and romantic gestures here and there around the house. You make me feel whole and confident. I'm everything I am because you love me. You're beautiful inside and out. You make my life worth living. Being in a coma has made me realise how truly precious life is, and how much I need you in it to be there beside me, loving me and making me feel happy and complete and like I'm on the top of the world. I never want to lose you. With this geeky ring, I promise to always love you and to carry on making you happy. I love you, for eternity. My Joe." Elena replied before sliding the ring on my finger. I dipped her and placed my lips gently on hers, feeling nothing but pure joy and gratitude.
The reception was held in one of the old drawing rooms. It was beautiful and grand. Elena and I spent the whole night dancing. Our second dance was to Always by Bon Jovi followed by Apache by The Sugarhill Gang, and yes, we did the dance. It was ace. We knew the whole rap. We uploaded the whole day to YouTube the fans loved it. It was a perfect day, and Christmas.

(11 years later)
I walked through a bookstore until I found the one I was searching for. "The Longest And Scariest Rollercoaster." I read on the cover. I looked underneath a picture of a hand with hospital equipment attached to it to read the name with pride. "By Gracie Sugg" My baby girl had become a best selling author with her book about Elena's coma. At age twenty she had become a music and English literature student at Cambridge and such an inspiration. I couldn't be more proud. Sam, who was eighteen, was in his first year at college studying film, IT, media and computer effects, his dream was to become a film producer or director. His films had earned him extremely high marks already and had got him accepted into Kingston University to do a filmmaking course in September. Chrissy was now fifteen years old and she found a talent in Sciences. She dreamed of being a doctor one day and helping people who were in comas or serious accidents on the intensive care ward. Most of all though, I am still so grateful to have my wife still alive and well, I'm nothing without her, she's everything that I am and more. I will always love her, for eternity...
