-Elena-
I had fallen into a deep sleep without knowing as I was awoken by a warm hand cupping mine and Joe's voice. "Typical you, falling asleep for 3 hours when I haven't seen you awake for five months. You're a right pain in the bum missus, but I still love you. If you're not awake when I get back, I won't be angry, I'll be very disappointed." Joe sighed. I laughed inside my head before I heard him leave to get a drink I presume. Light streamed into my eyes from the sunlight. I found the sudden ability to open them. My vision was blurred at first but it started to gradually focus as I looked around my surroundings. My room was absolutely full of hermiones and pansies, my favourites. On the walls hung banners and posters from Joe's fans, their hearts were so kind and thoughtful. I looked to my right to see my bedside table was filled with drawings, an anniversary card, Valentine's Day card and mother's day cards and more flowers. On my left side where my machines were, sat a shelf with a photo collage of me and Gracie at Christmas on top of it. I felt a lump in my throat. I felt so loved and grateful for what my family and the fans had done for me.
"Elena, you're awake! I'm so happy!" Joe exclaimed as he returned. This may sound bizarre, but I had truly forgotten how attractive he was, at that moment I felt like Rachel McAdams in The Vow when she looks at Channing Tatum, the feeling of pure confusion about how I managed to pull such a handsome man and later marry him. I wanted to give myself a high five. Joe placed his cup on the floor and sat down next to me and interlocked his fingers with mine. I smiled. I could smile! "I've been so lost without you my love, to see those irresistible eyes and shy smile back brings me so much warmth and relief. I've missed you so much it was painful. I've never cried so much. It was so hard. I haven't been able to sleep or just be truly happy. It completely tore me. I love you Elena Jane Sugg." He sobbed. I stared into his sad eyes, but still saw the slight spark in them. I tightened my hand in his. "Joe?" I asked very quietly and with difficulty. His eyes lit up at the sound of my voice and looked at me to indicate that I could continue. "Kiss me." I whispered weakly. He grinned sheepishly and got up slightly so he could lean down and perfectly place his soft lips on mine. Butterflies took flight in my stomach. It is gentle, but captivating, a mixture of sweet root-beer and salty ocean water. It felt like it was transporting me to another world. I forgotten how his kisses made me weak at the knees and left my heart racing. When we broke apart, he placed a light kiss on my foreead and sat down again. "I love you Joe Sugg." I beamed. A wide smile stretched across his face. He gently rubbed my hand. "I love you too, always." He answered.
We gazed at each for a few seconds before Dr Ryan interrupted us. "Excuse my interruption. It's lovely to see you truly awake at last Mrs Sugg. Later on, we will be running a MRI scan and some xrays, usual tests. It's good to know that you have your speech too. We just need to work on your mobility. We will book special physiotherapy for that. Now, how are you feeling, out of ten?" He informed me. "Happiness is 10/10, but pain in my back and ribs and head wise 5/10." I told him. He nodded and wrote it down. "I shall send someone to sort some more morphine for you as soon as possible." He stated before leaving the room positively.
