Chapter Eleven~Brilliant News.

The very next day after we were all tested, I and the others sat in my kitchen by the phone, forever waiting for it to ring and feeling disappointed when it wasn't the hospital. It felt like we were staring at the phone for hours, but when it eventually rang, it was only 30 minutes. "Hello." I simply stated. "Good morning Mr Sugg, I'm extremely pleased to tell you that we've found one match for your wife." A woman informed me. I sighed with relief. "Thank goodness. Who's the match?" I questioned curiously. "Mr Marcus Butler." She informed me. Marcus looked at me as we all turned to face him happily. "Brilliant, he's here with me right now. When will he have an operation?" I inquired. Marcus listened carefully. "If it's okay with him, we can prep him tomorrow and the operation can take place the day after, it needs to happen as soon as possible as it's such an emergency." She told us. Marcus nodded before saying "That's absolutely fine." The nurse thanked him and gave him a time before hanging up. I hugged Marcus tightly, I was so grateful for him helping us so much.

After we celebrated for a while, Marcus and I visited Elena together to tell her the news. Her skin was extremely pale but with a slight shade of yellow and her forehead was boiling hot. I held her hand as Marcus placed a light kiss on the crown of her head. "Elena, my love, we have amazing news. I'm going to let Marcus to tell you." I whispered to her cheerfully. Marcus smiled and held her other, free hand. "I'm going to make you well again. I'm giving you my kidney. I'm willing to lose one kidney for my very best friend, you'd do the same for me. I miss you so much. Hope you wake soon." Marcus explained gently. I grinned at him again and he returned. He then read leaflets about the procedure. I was so lucky that Elena could get a new kidney in just two days.
