12. The mailman's girl(s)

Sasuke p.o.v

At first he didn't quite grasp what the man on the ground had said. He knew Sakura? From where?

"Richard!?" She gasped, like she had already recognised him but didn't want to give it away.

"What are you doing?!" He shouted up at us, confused as hell.

"Just... chilling" Sakura replied, locking eyes with us and nodding that she had it under control.

"A bit hangover on me are you?"

Now she didn't look like she had it under control. Like something she wasn't quite proud of was about to come out.

"No. It was good, but not that good"

"Don't embarrass me in front of my bae!"

"Yeah, don't insult my bae's erotic skills"

Now Sasuke was even more confused. Did Sakura sleep with this guy who's in an open relationship with Mr Ito's wife? No, that's doesn't sound right.

Sakura suddenly spun around and looked straight at him, with what looked to be a slightly angry face.

"Don't look so shocked" she shouts at him, her eyes almost popping.

"I'm not. I mean yes it's just-"

"You thought I'd give up a sex just because I like you?"

He wanted to answer but she put her hand up on his face, urging him to shut up

"I do Sasuke; I like you - a lot -  but I'm not gonna wait around until you realise you like me too to have a sex life! I wasn't going to be a virgin until 31!"

"I-"

"I know you didn't think about that. After all, you're a man. You probably only think about your sexual life and ignore the ones of the women around you"

His sex life?

She looked at his face for a bit longer and went on "I'm sure we're all active... I don't expect you not to sleep with anyone just because I like you- and I certainly don't expect you to talk about it, it's a private matter- but don't act as if I didn't have that right all along"

Sasuke couldn't answer, he didn't know what to say, and this seemed to upset Sakura even more, causing her to go on.

"I, a not so young woman, am having safe, responsible, and most importantly: consensual sex, and everyone around me looks too shocked to say anything"

Still silence.

"Why can't you guys talk about sex?! Even you Kakashi sensei?! We see the books you read!"

She looked around a bit more and let out a big sigh

"I feel like I'm being shamed by your shock. I'm not gonna let you guys make me feel so... inappropriate."

She finally finished and started to get up and go, when Richard spoke again.

"So... wanna come over to my house?"

"Let's go" she said, rolling her eyes and jumping down.

"Bye suckers"

And that was it. Sakura had basically run off with the enemy and Sasuke looked shitfaced. He looked around for Naruto instinctively, wanting to see what he was thinking. He was basically a copy of him.... But not quite.

"Did you know bout this ?" Sasuke asked.

"I... kinda"

"Kinda?"

"Yeah, I mean, I know you never pay attention to Sakura, but I did. Do, I do. And like, she's never tried to hide it. In fact, one time she had some trouble because there was some drama with this guy and his friend, well it doesn't matter but I helped her out."

"Well, at least Kakashi didn't know.... Right?"

"I know everything" he sighed "let's just go back and tell Tanaka what we learned"
