16. Aftermath

Sasuke p.o.v

Sasuke opened the door to the house. It was late, they had taken way longer than they had planned. But there was no way around it. Sasuke couldn't help but stop Naruto mid-step and kiss him again, and Naruto wasn't any better than him.

They had been at it for at least an hour and a half, yet none of them could imagine doing anything else.

They stumbled inside almost drunkenly. Naruto's laugh echoing in the quiet house.

"Sasuke kiss me again" Naruto said, pulling at his shirt.

Sasuke was in heaven. What else could this be? He couldn't get used to it, no matter how many times he kissed Naruto. It was like he forgot what it felt like the second he pulled away, and he wanted to get right back to find out.

He loved the way Naruto had to slightly get on the tip of his toes to kiss him, and he loved that the more they kissed the redder his lips got. He had no idea that would happen.

"Shhhh we're going to wake everyone up" Sasuke giggled.

Had he really just fucking giggled? Ah who cared.

They clumsily took their shoes off, not leaving each other for a second.

"I'm so glad this happened" Sasuke whispered, caressing Naruto's face.

"Yeah, me too. Does this mean you like me more than Joseph?" He asked, kissing Sasuke's neck softly.

"Yes" he laughed back, hugging Naruto with his strong arms "I definitely like you better"

He breathed in Naruto's leafy scent and sighed, content. Was this the start of a new chapter in his life, or would Naruto want to go back to the way it was? Should they talk about it or just enjoy tonight?

Sasuke picked Naruto up and put him against the wall, accidentally turning on the lights, making them both laugh.

Naruto looked at him suddenly serious, looking like he was inspecting every bit of his face, tracing his hands over certain spots.

"You don't smile often" he said "I'm glad you're smiling now" and kissed him very softly.

Sasuke didn't know what to reply, so he just didn't and continued smiling.

Suddenly, something on the kitchen table caught his eye. He motioned for Naruto to look too, and let him out of his grasp.

The table was completely cleared out, for the exception of a paper.

Naruto picked it up and, confused, read it out loud:

"Sasuke and Naruto, you have taken too long to get here and we mustn't wait any longer.

After talking to Ito, like I said I would, we've realised there is something wrong. A reason beyond our own stupidity to why we can't be together, something supernatural.

In light of this we have decided to travel to my homeland together to find out what it is and finally finish this once and for all.

Come and meet us in -town name- on bitch ass street number 12. To get here you must take the train 5 from the central station. You can by your tickets on the spot, the train leaves at 8 am.

See you there grasshoppers!

Sasuke saw the panic in Naruto's eyes and instantly got worried

"Everything will be ok Naruto, we'll get there soon enough..."

"Yeah... I don't think so. I can't be in the train at 8! That means we have to leave the house at like 7:20" he whined.

So that was what was bothering him!

"It'll be fine, I'll set an alarm for 7:00, that leaves you about 10 minutes to wake up and lazy about in bed,-"

"Omg no we can't wake up that early! We're only 20 minutes away from the train station and- my sleep!!"

"Okok, what about we get up at 7:40, we get out of the house straight away and eat a mega breakfast on the train?"

"Yes that sounds great! We're going to eat so much! It'll be glorious" Naruto suddenly got exited.

"So.... Should we go to sleep. It's getting late" Sasuke said, trying to seem like his usual responsible self.

"I won't be able to sleep now that I've thought about our breakfast tomorrow"  Naruto grinned, making his way to their bedroom.

Sasuke followed right behind, and they both flopped on the bed beside each other.

What was he allowed to do now? Could he hold Naruto's hand? His whole hand, fingers intertwined and everything? Could they hug? I mean, they had been kissing for hours so why was he so nervous?

He looked at Naruto who was looking at the ceiling. If he wanted something to happen he'd have to gain more courage!

"... Naruto" he whispered, playing with his own hands "Do you wanna... like... cuddle?"

Naruto turned to him with a jolt, the biggest smile plastered on his face.

"Sasuke Uchiha. Did you just ask me for cuddles?"

"It's fine if you don't want to!!" he replied, embarrassed to death, instinctively putting his hands over his eyes, and then taking them away not wanting to make Naruto laugh more at his shyness.

"No no, I'm glad you asked" he laughed more, now his own cheeks burning red "I do"

Ok! Cuddling proposition excepted! What now?

Naruto wiggled nearer to Sasuke, with his back turned to him, and Sasuke hesitantly but his arm on his shoulders.

"Get closer" Naruto asked lazily.

Sasuke wiggled until they were completely pressed against each other, and moved his hand to Naruto's hips and chest.

He nested his head on Naruto's hair and held him closer.

"Good night"
