Chapter 3

Nick tells all our friends about the card, flowers, and the secret crush. I actaully didn't care, but I also didn't want anyone to know. Jess was gonna help her find out who it is. Nick won't do anything crazy now since Jess is in it. Jess is very friendly and wouldn't do anything bad to anyone. She's also friends with Chris so I love her:)

Valentine's Day is tomorrow. I just found out at the last period when the school principal announched Valentine's day shout outs. The shout outs were shown on the school newspaper the next day. If I was in Newspaper Club, I'd do something better than those lame people in it. I mean they are boring, not to be mean or anything. I just think it should be better. For the first time they got something people would LIKE to read: Valentines's Day Shout Outs. Can't wait to read all the romantic messages. Except you don't really know who sent it to you since it only says your initials.

School ends...finally. I walk home with my group including Nick, Jess, and Natelie. We all talk about tomorrow and ZAP. This is a game where someone writes a guy or a girl's name on your palm; it depends on if you're a girl or a boy. If you look at it before the time they give you, you have to ask the person out. If you win, the person who wrote that the name on your palm asks him or her out. I thought it was pretty stupid. I was not going to play it.

The next morning, I decide to wear a cute pink dress. I'm not a girly girl, but I do like dresses, and I don't mind pink. Okay, that just makes me a girly girl, but I'm an athelete. I'm really good at field hockey, and I play it in school. Mom drops me off to school, I didn't feel like walking; I was too tired and sleepy. February here was not cold, but it's also not hot. I live in New York, and I love it here. Before Mom drives me to school, my best friend, Ciara, from my old school calls me. Its been a long time since we have talked and I really missed her. I was so glad and happy that she called. I didn't have her number. If I did, I would've called her.

I reach to school in about 5 minutes. Nick was waiting for me outside with the others. The first bell was going to ring in about 10 mintues. I came early today than I did before. I saw Chris with his friends and he looked at my way when I saw him. I quickly look away, and from the corner of my eye, he's laughing!
