Chapter 20

          There were so many parties/functions coming up. Liz's slumber party, Natalie's birthday party, my cousin's wedding, and my birthday next month, but I don't think I was having a party. I just liked to be alone on that special day of mine. We had a party last year for my birthday because my mom wanted to invite all the relatives. It was horrifying and annoying. Everyone gave me hugs and kisses on the cheek. When I went into the bathroom to wash my face after the party, this woman's lipstick was on my cheek. It felt nasty. I didn't even know who she was.

          Liz's party was first. We had lots of fun together with Ciara. We were wearing jeans, but I wasn't comfortable in them while playing twister. Liz offered for her pajamas. They were purple with polka dots. For dinner, we had pizza and vanilla coke. Most parties always had pizza. Liz's parents weren't home. They had to go to this party. I think they just said that to give us some privacy. We watched Paranormal Activity 3. I was squeezing the pillow that Liz gave me. Me and Ciara were screaming when the scary parts came up. Liz was like "Guys, grow up!" She LOVED scary movies. She wasn't even scared of anything except spiders.

          I woke up with a girl screaming. It sounded like Ciara. They were still watching scary movies. I think I fell asleep while we were watching The Cabin in the Woods. I got up, and headed to go to Liz's room. It was nice and cool in her room. It felt good. Tomorrow we're going to the mall to buy a dress for Natalie's party. It was now only a week away.

        I had a nightmare about zombies trying to attack me. I was sweaty. I got out the bed with my eyes closed, and I fell on Liz's leg. She was sleeping on the floor, and woke up quickly yelling my name. I said sorry quietly and politely. I realized Ciara wasn't here. I checked in the living room, and she was on the sofa with one leg on the floor. It was funny watching people sleep...to me. My mom smiles when she sleeps. I always tease her about that. One time, she said she would take my phone away if I said it one more time so that's why I don't do it anymore. Liz's mom and dad were home so they took us to the mall. They wouldn't let me drive because they were too careful. We went to Forever 21, and I found my dress. It was a hot pink dress. Ciara got her black mini dress from H&M. After we got our dresses, we walked to Cups, this frozen yogurt place. It was yummy, I picked the vanilla flavor.

        Liz's mom picked us up from Cups. She was a little mad that we walked to Cups by ourself. She dropped me first. I showed my parents and my brother the dress. John didn't even look, he just nodded. He looked when I kicked him in his stomach. He said it was goooorgeous. I chuckled and went out his room. I was too tired from all the walking. I went to sleep at 8, thinking about Natalie's sweet sixteen party and her "plan" to ruin me.
