Weeks begin to pass. Torturous weeks. These weeks feel they are the longest weeks of my life. Taye continues to hit me what seems like every night. I've become a shadow of my former self. Every time I look into a mirror all I see are the imperfections that Taye tells me of relentlessly. I've not had a wink of decent sleep in god knows how long since I'd been either on the couch or in walkers bed. My eyes look tired, my skin is blotchy and pale, it's become tainted with cuts and bruises. My cheek bones look even more prevalent because of all the weight I've lost in my face and come to think of it my entire body looks thinner. I'm no longer trying to make myself look like a human. instead of putting a full face of makeup on I cover the marks Taye had left behind with concealer, and wear sweats that are 5 times too big and a oversized sweatshirt rather than jeans and a nice top. My hair is unmanageable causing me to throw it up in a bun rather than leaving it down. I look like a mess, and feel like one too.

As I get home from a show that had for some god forsaken reason caused a break down . I see Taye who had no shirt on and some other young looking African American chick who had nearly no clothes on making out on my couch. "So this is what you've been doing in all your free time?" I cry my heart was smashed into a million tiny pieces. I'd never thought I'd live to see the day that Taye actually betrayed me in such a way. the whole hypocrisy of it all makes the situation all the more gut wrenching.

"Taye who is this," She asks

"Ohhh nobody baby I'm all yours," he slurs as if he's had more than enough to drink.

"Oh really I'm nobody to you..." I snap "what about the twenty fucking years we've been together, what about me carrying your child who has to now stay with his grandma because his father is too busy getting drunk and sleeping around with women who aren't his mother," I scream through tears.

"You've been using me to cheat on her, good bye Taye," the girl says angrily putting her clothes  back on and storming out.

"See what you've done," he screams "All you ever do is screw shit up" He barks punching me across the face.

He continues to hit me in various places across my body. Soon enough I find myself wrapped up in fetal position next to the shards of glass from a broken mirror. I'm used to the pain by now. I still can't bear to think that this is the same man who's fathered my child, asked me to marry him, and helped make my first Broadway show one of the fondest memories I have. Lost in all my distraught the room begins to spin and everything goes black.

James' P.O.V.

As I'm siting at a friends apartment after a show for a drink or two to take the edge off the eighth and final show of the week I hear loud banging coming from below us. "should I go check out what's going on?" I ask him.

"That'd probably be a good idea," he states

I take the elevator down two floors and follow the banging and crashing to an apartment. My heart bursts as I realize that the apartment I'd heard the noises from was Idina's apartment.

I quietly open the door and there's a horrific scene. Taye, her husband, looks like he's killed a person shards of glass drips of blood were scattered on the floor and idinas no where to be found. I began to assume the worst "What are you doing here," he snaps

"I heard loud noises and I wanted to make sure that nothing was going on," I reply I could tell he'd been drinking by the smell of the place and the state he was in.

"You can leave now," he says

"No, I need to make sure Idina is okay first," I reply as gently as I can so I don't provoke an attack on me. I then notice raven hair sprawled out near my feet. I look down and there she is unconscious and more beat up than I've ever seen her. a tear begins to form
In my eye. I gently grab her arm and make sure she has a pulse. it's weak as I'd expected but it was there. A sigh of relief escapes my lips. at least she was still with me, Then I dial 911 and tell them to get here ASAP.
