The door of the trunk was shut by my father's head of security, Ravi. "All done" He told me and I thanked him.

"Ma were you crying?" I asked her out of concern. "No of course not" She said with puffy eyes. She was terrible liar.

"Chill ma and see bhaiyya is going to New York with me first" I reassured her. "Listen Aryan you're suppose to help Suhana settle in not hang with your friends all day" Dad instructed bhaiyya.

"Aight you two need to chill out" Dad was not amused. "Okay I'll do as you ask I promise" Bhaiyya was not messing with our dad.

"Okay come let's go" I said excitedly. Everyone sat into the cars and we drove to the private airport. Our parents asked us to take the jet instead of a normal flight.

Bhaiyya is following me to New York first. Some of his friends from London live in New York now and he wanted to meet them.

He was using me as an excuse which I didn't mind. We reached the airport and of course no matter how hard we tried the paparazzis were always there.

I was more comfortable with them then my older brother but I still disliked them. "You have everything right?" My mom asked me again.

"Yes ma I tripled checked. Promise" She smiled and hugged me tightly. "I'm going to miss you baby"

Our parents were unable to come because of work and I was glad. I had some plans for before college started and I didn't need them meddling in.

"Love you papa" He brought me into a tight hug. AbRam hugged the two of us. "Okay call us when you land" Dad instructed us.

"And stick with each other" Another instruction. "We'll visit as soon as we can" Ma added. I love them but I hope not.

"Don't fight" AbRam didn't hold back his share of instructions for us. We finally entered the airport and waved our family goodbye.

"Who you texting?" I looked over and saw my brother typing away. "Just Ahaan" I regretted asking.

"I was asking him why he disappeared that night" Memories from that night came back to me. "I think he went to hook up with some girl" Not completely wrong.

"Sue" My brother shook my shoulder and got my attention. I was watching a show on my iPad when he called me.

I took out my AirPods and asked him, "What?" He simply pointed to the window. I gasped when I saw clear blue sky. The sun shone on the Statue of Liberty.

This wasn't the first time I was traveling to New York but bhaiyya knows how much I enjoy looking out the plane window when we're about to land.

"How do you feel?" He asked me as we pushed our luggage trolleys out of the airport. "Exhausted" I yawned.

"Well don't be" We walked towards the cabs lined up in front of the airport. "You should beat your jet lag as fast as you can" He told me as we placed our luggage in the trunk of the cab.

"So we're going to make sure we only sleep at night" We shut the door of the cab as sat inside, "I don't think that's how it works"

He let the driver know the address. "Yeah not really but it's worth a shot" I laughed at him and turned to the window to look at the city.

"Aight I'm heading out" Bhaiyya and I got to our apartment four hours ago. We freshened up I started unpacking.

"Don't fall asleep" He warned me. "I was thinking to head to NYU" I told him. "This week is moving day for the students and I was hoping I could make some friends" He nodded.
