Chapter 20

Rohan and I were stumped when our elder siblings started questioning us. Neither of us knew what to stay and ended up staying silent.

My brother broke the silence. "Ruhi have you noticed how very close our dear siblings really are?" He asked.

"Oh yes just last night he was on call with someone all night" Ruhi said. "Oh interesting so was Suhana" My brother mentioned.

I gulped hard knowing full well my brother had busted me. I looked at Rohan with a side eye and knew he was also nervous.

"Constantly hanging out and then suddenly showing up at the same restaurant" Ruhi pointed out.

"What does that tell you Aryan?" She said sarcastically to which my brother laughed.

"Hmm it tells me that they actually have an announcement to make" My brother said.

Announcement? I looked over at Rohan and he was equally confused as I was.

"Now are you two going to tell us yourselves or do we have to do this as well?" My brother said.

I had no idea what they were talking about so I didn't say anything. Rohan didn't seem to know either and maybe that's why he was also silent.

I was completely sure that Rohan and I were individually trying to figure out what our siblings were talking about.

"Well I guess we have to do this ourselves" Ruhi said. My brother agreed with her. We looked on to what they were talking about.

"So you two planned to bring us together for a dinner" Ruhi started. That was true for sure.

"Because you wanted all four of us to talk and bond together" My brother continued. True again so Rohan and I nodded.

"So that you can tell us about your relationship" Ruhi finished. My eyes widened when Ruhi said that.

"I-" "Wha-" "Relat-" "Bu-" Neither of us could form a single word so you can forget about us even forming a sentence.

"Relax you two" My brother said. "It's not that big of a deal" He told us.

"Yeah you two are cute together" My jaw dropped when Ruhi called us cute.

"Why would we have an issue?" She asked with a laugh. "You could've just told us beforehand" She simply said.

"Well then we wouldn't have gotten this fancy dinner" My brother pointed out. They both laughed together.

Rohan and I just watched them while we sat in our chairs stunned. I watched from my side eye that Rohan was about to speak up.

I figured he was going to clarify everything so I grabbed his hand and held onto it tightly. Before he could say anything, I interrupted him.

"I'm so glad you two are okay with us" I quickly said with a smile. Rohan looked at me flabbergasted.

"Finally" Ruhi and my brother smiled happily once I accepted it. "Could you excuse us for a moment" Rohan said.

Rohan grabbed my hand and pulled me away. He brought me to a corner and roughly pulled me away from the crowd.

"Ow Rohan" I scolded him. "What the fuck was that?" He ignored my scolding. "Why did you let them think we're together?" He asked angrily.

"We were supposed to get them together and not get ourselves together" I let him rant for a while to get it out of his system.

Once I felt like he had enough I stopped him. "Alright enough ranting" He paused from his sentence.

"Let me explain" I said. "Please do" He eagerly waited for my explanation. "Look I was as shocked as you but then I saw them" I told him.

"Saw who?" I rolled my eyes at his confused face. "Our siblings idiot" I said. This man can honestly be so clueless.

I pulled him slightly and pointed to the table where our siblings were sitting at. "Look at them" I told him.

"Look at how happy they look" I looked up to see him looking at the table. Our siblings were laughing and joking around together.

I hadn't seen my brother smile this hard for ages. I wanted him to be like that always. I pulled Rohan back and stood behind the pillar like before.

"That is because of us" I said. "If we just pretend for a while then maybe we can get them closer" I told him.

He pondered over what I said. "Rohan just for a few days" I told him. "They're clearly into each other, it won't take that long" I said.

I saw Rohan melting. I knew he was going to agree with my idea. "And don't worry I won't take advantage of you" I joked.

He chuckled and shook his head. "Alright I'm in" He said. "Yes!" I said excitedly but in a hushed tone so I don't catch the attention of people around us.

"Alright come let's go" We walked back to the table hand-in-hand. "Ah there're the love birds" Ruhi said with a smile.

Rohan and I chuckled awkwardly as we sat down. "What took you two so long?" My brother asked. "Oh just had to find a good place to make out" I joked.

My brother's smile immediately dropped. "Not. Funny" He said sternly. I mouthed a 'sorry' while I giggled at his reaction.

"You're gonna get me killed" Rohan said worriedly and we laughed at him. "Don't worry I know she'll always be the troublemaker"

My jaw dropped at bhaiyya's words. "Rude" I mumbled. I didn't think he'd take Rohan's side over me.

"You know this is supposed to be a birthday dinner, where's the dinner" My brother asked me.

"Well technically it's not my birthday yet so where's the birthday?" I fired back.

"Very funny" I smirked at him. "Alright let's bring some food before we get into a fist fight" Ruhi broke our sibling banter.

"Let's get a waiter" Rohan looked around. "Ah there" He signalled one over and he took our order.

We spent the night laughing and talking amongst ourselves. Rohan and I were thankfully able to keep our cover.

"Look at them" He whispered softly. We watched our siblings bond together. "I know they're so cute" I whispered back softly.
