I looked around the apartment to check if everything was in place. The food table was stocked with snacks.

My brother had arranged for the alcohol. I had set the LED lighting to give the apartment a club vibe. I loved how the place turned out.

I looked in the mirror to check my appearance and straightened out my dress. I fixed my hair and makeup once again.

"No matter how many times you look it wouldn't change the fact that you look like a monkey" I rolled my eyes at my brother's comment.

I leapt excitedly when I heard the doorbell. "Don't be a dork" My brother shouted. I opened the door and greeted Alayna and Maira.

"Hey!" We hugged at the doorway and I let them enter. "This is Josh, Riley, Sandra and Gia" I greeted all of them and welcomed them in.

"This is my older brother, Aryan and some of his friends" Everyone mingled around and explored the apartment.

"Damn this interior is amazing" Riley stated. "Thanks our mom did it, she's an interior designer" I told them proudly.

I brought a drink to Alayna who was observing the photo wall. "I cannot believe you are actually his daughter"

Alayna said as she looked at one of my favorite pictures with my dad. It was taken on the opening of a restaurant my mom designed.

I chuckled at her reaction and handed her the drink

I chuckled at her reaction and handed her the drink. "Thanks" We chatted amongst ourselves for a while before NYU students began to pour into the apartment.

Soon enough to my surprise, the entire apartment was filled with my fellow batchmates. I stood at the kitchen counter and scanned the room.

I was pleased to see this party was a success. I made a mental note to thank my parents for showing me how to host a good party.

My brother was out in the balcony with his friends. He looked at me and then looked around the apartment proudly. He raised his cup at me and smiled showing me I did a good job.

"Sue come dance" I joined my friends in the middle of my apartment and danced the night away.

"Hey cutie" I turned to see who it was. A very handsome guy stood before me. Apparently he was a senior and completely drunk.

My friends and I exchanged looks while he tried to converse with me. I smiled and tried my best not to burst out laughing.

He was so drunk his words were slurring and he couldn't even stand straight. His friends had to escort him out of the apartment.

I noticed a guy standing in front of my parents portrait that hung in the corner. He seemed to have been admiring it for quite some time.

I remembered seeing him a couple of minutes ago. I decided to go meet him. "Hi" I cheerfully greeted him.

I was a little tipsy but nothing I couldn't handle. He didn't acknowledge my presence which I thought was pretty rude.

"Um hello?" I thought maybe he didn't hear me over the loud music. "Hi" He bluntly replied. He kept his gaze on the picture instead.

"Uhm are you a fan?" I asked. "Who isn't?" I smiled softly. "That's really sweet" I told him. "Don't you want to enjoy the party?" I asked him.

"I noticed you've been standing here for quite some time" He looked at the portrait again and I was getting a little creeped out.

It didn't feel right when he kept staring at my parent's picture. Especially since he was constantly just standing there.

"Didn't think a palace princess would have so much time to look at me" I was taken aback my his comment.

"Huh?" He laughed a little at my reaction. It was definitely not a comforting laugh. "You are just so privileged aren't you" He looked around the apartment.

I watched him observe my entire place but not in the way of the rest of the guest. He did not give off good vibes and I was starting to feel a little scared.

"What do you not have?" He asked rhetorically. I moved back a step to get away from him. "Everything just given to you at the snap of your fingers" He said as he snapped his fingers making me flinch.

His voice was filled with anger and I was starting to get really scared. "Your dad worked so hard and you're throwing his efforts away with a party"

He waved his hand around to make me look at the party. "You should be ashamed of yourself" He told me.

"Do you even realise how lucky you are to have everything you have?" He asked. I hit the edge of a dresser and he stopped right in front of me.

Before he could say anything else I heard my brother's voice. "Suhana?" I turned to see him and rushed to him.

I hugged him and he immediately knew that something was wrong. "Who the fuck are you?" My brother was not a person to mess with and I knew the stranger could tell.

He didn't say a word and left the apartment. "Did he do anything to you?" My brother asked. I shook my head.

"No bhaiyya nothing like that" I assured him. "Come on let's go" He put his arm around me and calmed my nerves.

The party eventually died down and everyone left. It was currently four in the morning and we were all exhausted.

Bhaiyya had a flight tomorrow night since he had to go to LA where he was studying. He helped me clean up a little before going to bed.

I couldn't help but think about the stranger from before. The way he spoke to me. With so much hate and anger filled in his voice.

They way he told me how much of a spoilt brat I am. I always knew people assume that about us. Their perception will probably never change.

People always say that we are privileged kids, which well we are but the way he said it hit different.

I really wondered if everyone thought about it like that. Did they really think we are that horrible? That we are not anything but ungrateful spoilt rich brats?

It pained me to know that there is a chance people may never accept my talent as an actor. They'll just see me as Shah Rukh Khan's daughter.
