I placed my hair into the towel as I stepped out of the shower. I looked into the mirror and made sure my hair was neatly wrapped into my towel.
Once I knew it was all set, I walked out of the bathroom in my apartment. I walked over to Rohan who was having his breakfast.
He sat on the kitchen bar stool as he munched on his cereal. He scrolled through his phone while I fixed myself a bowl of cereal.
"What're you looking at?" I asked casually as I sat next to him. "Nothing just scrolling through" He told me.
It had been six months since Rohan and I had been back from LA. The world had been going insane due to the virus.
All of our classes were switched to online classes and we were not allowed to set foot onto campus. I told Rohan to come live in my apartment so I'd feel safer.
I didn't want him contracting the virus at all. Also, he couldn't stay at the dorms anymore because everyone was instructed to evacuate the dorms.
If he didn't have a place to stay he would've had to go back to LA and I didn't want that. Thankfully his sister agreed.
"Guess what today is" I nudged him lightly. He put down his phone with a smile. "Our six months anniversary" He said.
I laughed at his attempt to return the same energy I was giving him. "You're so cute" I kissed his cheek.
Besides the deadly virus spreading all around the world, this entire year was going great for me at least.
I was having a blast in my classes despite them being over a camera but I have to get used to cameras anyways.
I had a great boyfriend who was living with me in my apartment. Tonight we were celebrating our six months anniversary together.
"It's a bummer we can't go anywhere" I pouted. "That's alright" Rohan hugged me from behind to comfort me.
"We can still dress up, take pictures and have a pleasant dinner" He told me. "Sounds perfect" I whispered.

"Damn how did I get so lucky?" Rohan walked out of our bedroom. It was now evening and we were getting ready for our in home anniversary dinner.
Rohan had honestly done all the preparations. I finished off the meal while had got ready. He walked out of the room in a black buttoned down shirt.
His hair was perfectly styled up in his signature look. His sleeves were folded up and his top buttons were unbuttoned just the way I like it.
"How did you get so lucky?" He asked me in shock. "I'm the one with the sexy girlfriend with that cheese grater" He joked.
I rolled my eyes over at him. "This is all done" I told him. We set the table with our dinner. Rohan walked over and played some romantic music.
"Care for a dance princess?" He extended his hand and I took it without hesitation. We danced to the slow music under the dimmed lights of our apartment.
I rested my head onto his chest and listened to his heartbeat. "I love you" He whispered softly. "I love you too" I wanted to freeze that moment forever.
"Ro this is beautiful" I said as he placed a bracelet onto my wrist. "Not as much as you" He said cheekily. I kissed him before saying, "Thank you so much"
I gave him the gift I got for him. "Oh I love this" He exclaimed. I had chosen a watch for him. Well technically bhaiyya and papa had chosen it for me.
I sucked at picking gifts for people especially guys. He immediately put it on and showed it off to me. "I'm glad you like it" I told him.
He leaned towards me and kissed me. Our sweet kiss was very quickly turned into a passionate kiss.
We battled for dominance with our tongues. Once he had won, I melted into his kiss and he pushed me down onto the couch.
The next morning I woke up to my phone buzzing on the table. I looked around and noticed Rohan and I were still on the couch.
Our clothes were scattered all over the living room. Rohan was sound asleep next to me. I tried my best not disturb him as I untangled myself from him.
I grabbed my phone and threw on Rohan's shirt as soon as I saw my mom was FaceTiming me. I rushed to the bedroom and straightened myself up.
I quickly answered the call and a very excited popped up on my screen. "Suhana where have you been?" She asked immediately.
"Sorry ma I was sleeping" I told her. "Who's shirt is that?" She asked. I looked down at the shirt and panicked.
My parents obviously don't know Rohan and I are living together. They would freak out and not let him stay here.
Only bhaiyya and Ruhi know. Even bhaiyya was difficult to convince but Ruhi helped. "It's bhaiyya's ma he left it here" I lied.
"Oh okay anyways I have some good news for you" She said excitedly. "Ooh what is it" I was eager to know what my mom had to say.
"Zoya aunty was over at our place last night" She started. "Zoya Akhtar?" I confirmed. She nodded and continued.
"She told us about the movie she wants to do on The Archies" My mom said. I got excited because I knew Zoya aunty was already considering me.
"Did she see the work I sent her?" I asked. "Yes she did" My mom replied and I squealed excited as she continued.
"She said she really loved your audition videos and all the previous works you have done over the years" I sighed in relief.
When I heard about this project I made sure to compile all of my works including previous plays, scenes I reenacted from movies, short films I had done at school or at home.
I gave it all to Zoya aunty so she could take a look through. She's not an easy person to impress so I was quite nervous.
"Suhana she really loved you and told us that she is definitely considering you" I leapt in excitement when my mom said that.
"When you come back to India you'll have to a proper audition and screen test before you can be selected" I nodded with excitement.
"This is so cool ma I'm so excited" I told her. "Just keep working hard okay baby?" She said to me softly.
"Can't believe you're graduating soon and are going to be in movie" My mom excitedly said. My specific degree is only for two years so I was graduating soon.
It just dawned upon me that Rohan's degree is a year longer than mine so I'd be away from him. "What's wrong?" My mom saw my worried face.
"Just-just worried about everything I guess" I told her. "Final projects, graduation, movie auditions it's all scary" I said.
She smiled and told me it's all going to be okay. "Just take it one step at a time" She suggested.
"Right now just focus on your education" She instructed.
I nodded and talked to her for a little longer before hanging up.
