I heard a knock on my door and went to open it. "Hey!!" I hugged Alayna and Maira tightly. "I can't believe you're leaving" Maira pouted.

"Oh I know I'm going to miss you guys so much" I said as I led them into my apartment. "I'm going to miss coming here" Alayna said.

"The parties, the sleepovers" Maira listed out. "Can't you stay a little longer" Alayna asked. I honestly could but I didn't want to.

I had plans that I needed to complete. "No I can't" I told them. "I have to go see my family especially my brother" I said softly.

I couldn't wait to hug bhaiyya and tell him everything is going to be okay. "How is your brother?" Maira asked softly.

"Not that good" I took a deep breath. "My mom says he's not eating well and he doesn't talk to anyone" I told them.

Alayna hugged me. "He's going to be okay" She assured me. "Especially since you're going to there" Maira said.

"Yeah okay we better get going" I clapped my hands together and looked around my apartment.

I checked if I had left anything that was supposed to be packed. Once I was satisfied, I picked up my belongings.

"Why're we going so early though?" Alayna asked. "Yeah your flight isn't for a few hours" Maira pointed out.

I grabbed a suitcase and Maira grabbed the other one. "I know but there's something I need to do first" Alayna helped me lock my door.

She gave my keys back to me before walking to the lift with us. "What do you have to do?" She asked as she pressed the lift button.

"I need to talk to someone" I said. "Who?" The lift door opened and we walked inside. "Rohan" I simply said.

"What?!" Both of the shouted as the door shut. "Are you crazy?" Alayna said. "What're you going to say?" Maira asked.

"Do you want him back?" Alayna asked. "Don't give her ideas" Maira scolded her. We walked out of the lift once we reached the ground floor.

"Relax you guys" I told them. "How can we relax after what you just told us?" Alayna asked. Maira unlocked her car.

We placed my suitcases inside and closed the trunk. "I just need to say something to him before I never see him again" I told them.

Alayna and Maira were still weary about my decision but they still drove me to his dorm. I sat at the back and viewed the scenery before I left.

The two of them waited downstairs in the car while I went up to his room myself. I knocked onto his door and waited patiently.

He opened the door and I saw panic wash over him. He was shirtless and had only sweats on him.

He tried to close the door so I don't see the girl on his bed but it was too late. "Don't bother already saw her and I don't care" I simply told him.

He stepped out of his room and shut the door behind him. "I didn't know you were coming here" He said awkwardly.

"That's because I didn't tell you I wasn't coming" I said. "Rohan all I wanted to say was I'm leaving for India tonight" I watched his face change.

"My flight is in a couple of hours" I told him. I watched him struggle with himself on what to say. Before he could form a sentence, I continued.

"I just wanted to thank you for firstly challenging me" I did learn a lot and worked harder trying to prove him wrong in my first year.

"Thank you for supporting me" I was grateful that we joined hands in LA. "Thank you for loving me" Our relationship was beautiful and I will never forget it.

"Lastly, thank you for making me realise that we are not ready for love" I said. "Love is secondary. We need to build a foundation of mutual respect first" I stated.

"As of now in my opinion I don't respect you and you don't respect me" He didn't say anything just silently listened.

"Maybe that's why we don't understand and respect each other's opinions" I said. "That is why I want to thank you for walking away from our relationship"

He tried to say something but I stopped him. "I wish you all the luck and I hope you get everything you desire"

With that I turned around and walked away. I heard Rohan call my name from behind but I didn't stop. I tuned out his voice and continued walking away.

He had a responsibility to make his own identity. I have a responsibility to take my father's legacy to the next level.

Our goals don't match so we don't match. I have never felt better about a decision.

In that moment I thought maybe one day Rohan and I will cross paths again.

Maybe then we can learn to respect one another. Till then he will only be a college romance.
