Chapter 14

I couldn't believe my ears. This was supposed to be a peaceful holiday. I was supposed to stay away from this jerk.

"Earth to princess?" Rohan said from behind me. I took a deep breath and turned around. There he was, Rohan Singh.

He was in his black ripped jeans topped with a faded black t-shirt. "You gotta stop checking me out like that princess" He smirked at me.

"Shut up" I muttered. "I mean if you're attracted to me, you can just let me know" He said as he placed his hand on the railing.

I watched him lean in to me. "Want to tell me something princess?" He whispered. I pushed myself off the railing with a smile.

I moved towards him slowly. I placed my hands lightly onto his t-shirt. I leaned in slowly and felt his breath hitch.

"I want to tell you..." I whispered. "To get the fuck out of my house" I said loudly. I flinched and stepped backwards when I raised my voice.

"Your house?" He asked. "Yeah my house" I replied. "What're you even doing here?" I finally asked.

"My sister is friends with the person who threw this party" He said. "What?!" I exclaimed. "Wait who is-"

I didn't get to complete my question because I got interrupted by my brother. "Oh good you two have met"

My brother came up to us and placed his arm on my shoulder. There was a girl next to him who placed her hand on Rohan's arm.

"Suhana this is Ruhi and her brother Rohan" He introduced. "Hi I've heard so much about you" Ruhi said sweetly.

"G-g-good things I hope" I answered awkwardly. "Ruhi and I met during orientation in our first year" My brother told us.

"Friends since then" Ruhi added. "Yeah friends" My brother whispered softly which caught my attention.

"I suppose you're here for as long as Rohan?" Ruhi asked. "Yeah we uh-" "We know each other" Rohan completed my sentence.

"Yeah uhm we did that play together" I told my brother. "Ah I see. My sister told me the play went really well, congrats" Rohan thanked my brother.

This was the most awkward moment for both Rohan and I. Neither of us wanted to fight in front of our siblings considering they were such close friends.

All four of was were hanging out on the porch mostly just listening to bhaiyya and Ruhi's conversation.

"Hey so where's Jason?" My brother casually asked. "In hell I hope" Rohan answered for his sister.

"Rohan" His sister scolded him. He shut up real quick but I could easily see the anger in him. My brother noticed the tension as well.

"What happened?" My brother asked softly. "Nothing really" She replied. "Nothing?! di [sis] ho-" His sister stopped him.

"Rohan go get me a drink" She told him bluntly. "Sue go with him" My brother instructed. "Okay" I said softly.

Rohan wasn't moving from his spot so I grabbed his hand and pulled him away. We stood at a distance from our siblings so we were unable to hear their conversation.

I closely watched their interaction and saw Ruhi tearing up. I watched my brother care for her gently.

I had never seen my brother be so gentle and caring for someone like he was with Ruhi. One could clearly see the care and respect he had for her.

My thoughts were distracted by Rohan. "I could kill him" I whipped my head towards him. He was staring angrily in the direction my brother and Ruhi were at.

"Don't you dare lay a finger on my brother" I smacked his arm. "Ow what the f-not your brother idiot" He rubbed his arm.

"The stupid guy who made my sister cry" I quickly apologised and he gave me a side eye. "I said I'm sorry" I told him.

He ignored me and poured himself a shot. "She's seems really upset" I said softly. "Oh well done captain obvious" I rolled my eyes at his sarcasm.

"Why did they break up?" I asked. "She caught that jackass in her bedroom having sex with one of her friends" He bluntly replied.

"What the fuck?!" I yelled out. "Ya exactly my reaction" He told me. "Her friend?! Her room?! Nah that man needs to taught a lesson"

I was beyond angry and I didn't even know Ruhi and Jason existed till an hour ago. "Please cheating runs in their blood" He said.

"What do you me-fuck" Someone crashed into me after being hit by another person. "You good?" Rohan asked.

"Yeah too many people" I told him. "Go somewhere else?" He asked. I nodded and took him upstairs.

I shut the door behind me and watched him look around. "So y'all just have a house in every corner of the world or...?"

I chuckled and plopped onto my bed. "Not every corner. Come" I patted the spot next to me. He sat down and I immediately restarted our convo.

"So what did you mean?" He remembered my question. "Oh right so basically there is this really fucked up family here" He simply said.

"Apparently the dad cheated on the mom and the whole town knows including her but they're still married" I looked at him confused.

"What's that got to do with anything?" He continued his story. "They have three children, Kayla, Jason and Ria" He told me.

"Wait Ria?" I asked. "Yeah you know her?" I nodded. "Sort of I met her tonight she's here" I said.

"She's here?" He repeated. "Yeah and my brother didn't like that I was talking to her at all" I told him.

"Maybe because her brother cheated on one of his good friends AKA my sister" He said not understanding my confusion.

"Yeah but bhaiyya didn't know your sister got cheated on when I was talking to Ria" I pointed out.

"Oh right. But honestly you should stay away from her, that girl is psycho" He said bluntly. "So Jason is a cheater, Ria is psycho, what about the last one?" I asked.

"I don't know ask his parole officer" My jaw dropped in shock. "Fuck" I simply said. He leaned back onto the headboard. "Yeah exactly"

I took some time to process everything. That was crazy shit. How can someone even be like this? Man this family was fucked up.

"I still find it weird that bhaiyya was so mad at me he usually isn't like that" I was still confused by his behaviour.

"He's probably just looking out for you" Rohan said but I wasn't convinced. Rohan let out a chuckle.

"Maybe she cheated on him" I slowly turned to him. "You think?" I asked. He was joking at first but when he saw my reaction, his face changed.

"Then we got to get some revenge" I nodded in agreement. This was the second time Rohan and I agreed on something.
