Chapter 8: Tight Leash

Thea's POV

The next day, Andrea and I went to action. We can't fail Rica in our mission. I'm so excited! I saw Rica standing outside the restaurant in where Jen and John are dating. I handed her the hand cuffs and she smiled at me.

"Now, wait for us outside the bathroom and we'll hand you the recorder." she nodded and we sent a message to Jen's number. We managed to hack the system appearing that Marie, Jen's sister, texted her and not us.

To: Jen

Fr: Marie

Jen! I need you to quit your date for a moment. Use the front door of the restaurant to meet me outside. And, also... close your eyes.

Jen's POV

What's wrong with Marie? She's acting crazy! But, I need to follow my big sister. I walked outside while closing my eyes.

"Alright, Marie! Where are you?" I called out.

"Ouch!" I opened my eyes and saw that I was tied up and my mouth is sealed with a tape. I tried to call for John but can't because my mouth is sealed. I can't see the ones who kidnapped me either. They were wearing a mask and they appeared to be girls.

"Now, you'll do exactly what we'll make you or you're a dead man." one threatened. She took a knife out of her pocket and pointed its edge to my neck.

They knocked me out and I came to a basement afterwards. My mouth isn't sealed anymore.

"What do you want from me?" I cried out.

"It's simple. We just want you to say a couple of words to this little recorder of ours."

"Okay, what is it?"

"Just say: John, close your eyes and turn 360 degrees."

"What?! Why?! Are you planning an assassination to my John?"

One of them slapped me hard on the face. "First of all, he's not yours! Second, he belongs to our best friend! So, shut up!"

I whimpered and said the words lively. They were satisfied and made me smelled a white substance. Oh, no! This is the type of drug that will make me forget everything!

"See you soon." Those were the last words that I heard when I blocked out.

Rica's POV

I saw Andrea running to me with the recorder. I asked where's Thea and she answered that Thea is taking care of Jen. I took the recorder and went inside the restaurant. John is sitting alone waiting for Jen to come back. I went around him without him noticing me. I played the recorder near him and he obeyed it. I took the hand cuffs out and I cuffed our hands together. He opened his eyes, surprised.

"What the hell, Rica?! Where's Jen?"

"Oh, about that. She agreed for us to stick together for the next 24 hours."

"What?!" I smiled and put the spoon with some food on his mouth. He frowned at me while I just smiled at him. He's so cute! Then, I kissed him on his cheek for starters. He blushed and I giggled.

"Oh, c'mon! I know that you're enjoying it, my little puppy."

"No! You're forcing me in this!"

I ignored him and pulled him to go to my house. We sat down the couch and I looked at him eerily.

"We're gonna have some... fun."

"Not like this! Please! It's not the right time!"

"I'm just kidding! You're just sleeping with me. That's all."

He sighed in relief.

"But I saw you doing it with Jen! But why not me?!"

"You've been stalking me, Rica?"

"I saw you the other night with her."

"It's not what you think. Yes, Jen was there but she just can't untie my necktie that is why we fell on the couch. She wants to kiss me but I resisted it."

"Oh."

I accepted John's explanation and snuggled with him. He's still playing hard to get but I don't mind it. Besides, he can't do anything when we are cuffed together. I kissed him on his chin and he squirmed.

"You know that I won't give you a high grade on Math after this."

"I know." I chuckled.

I grabbed him to my bedroom and we laid on the bed together.

"Rica, I don't know about this."

"Relax. We're just sleeping, John."

After a couple of minutes, John fell asleep. But then, he woke up while screaming.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing. It's just that I dreamt about my past."

"Do you need a TEDDY BEAR?"

He smiled at me and hugged me.

"I don't need anyone. You're my only teddy bear."

"I love you." I murmured under my breath.

He didn't hear it. He fell back to sleep. I don't care though. I wish this night would last forever. I smelled his arms and fell asleep.
