Chapter 30: Pregnant

John's POV

We did the same procedures. Went to the nurse station, then asked for the doctor, and waited at the hospital benches as they take a look on Rica. 'Cause... Gosh! We have so many hospital records here in different cases!

An hour went by and the doctor came to talk to us.

"Are you the patient's relatives?"

"Yes we are. Well, sort of... we're her friends." I answered truthfully.

Jen doesn't seem to agree with what I had said. She rolled her eyes. She still considers Rica a threat.

"Congratulations, Sir! She's pregnant! It's a baby girl." the doctor cheered.

We all flashed a look to each other. Korey gave me a death glare. I shook my head to silently tell her that I didn't do it.

"Uh... I'm not the father. Is the baby all right?"

"Yes. She almost had a miscarriage. She's lucky enough to be rushed over here. Well, you better call the daddy."

"Y-ya. Thanks, Doc."

The doctor went on with his business.

"Guys, I'll go talk to her." I said to Korey and Jen.

"Okay. But are you sure that you didn't do it?" Korey sternly asked.

"Of course not, hon! Why would I do such a thing like that?"

"Hmph."

I looked over to Jen. She was boiling up.

"Gosh. I didn't know that she's pregnant. I'm sorry. But it better not be-"

"Jen!" I shushed her up.

I turned my back on them and walked to Rica's room. Her eyes were tightly closed like she was having a nightmare. I guess this type of situation IS a nightmare.

I gently nudged her. Her eyes slowly opened.

"Joh-John?"

"Rica, are you okay now?"

"Why am I here?"

"Why didn't you tell us?"

She was surprised and she sat up at once. She rubbed her womb with her eyes wide like a child knowing that something terrible has happened.

"They... they told you?"

"Who's the father?" I calmly asked.

She turned her gaze away from me.

"WHO'S THE FATHER?" my voice was in a deep menacing tone.

"I... I... I... *sighs* it's Ben."

I fell down from my sit.

"Wha-what?"

I can't believe it! Ben?! My mouth hanged open. I'm still sitting on the floor. I'm too astound to move. Then, Jen bursted through the doors with Korey trying to restrain her.

Jen's POV

"Was everything that I heard true?! You're pregnant with Ben... with my boyfriend?!"

"Yes. I didn't mean it, Jen."

What the heck?! Having a baby a considering it as an accident? You can't just abort it... well maybe she should've aborted it!

"You didn't mean... YOU DIDN'T MEAN IT?! What is this? A reset button so you could just erase everything that you have done? I should've killed the baby when I had the chance!"

I tried to get to her so I can kill that baby but Korey was too strong.

"Jen, please. We'll talk this through." Korey calmed me down.

No... I just thought that I wanted to kill the baby, right? What was I thinking? Killing is bad no matter what. The world has so much evil in it already, including this one... this thing that Rica and Ben have done so I don't want to add. The Lord will be so much disappointed at us!

"You have no idea what you've done to me." I said finally giving up to break free from Korey's strong grip on my arms.

John's POV

I shakily got on my feet.

"Does someone have any cellphone?"

"None. We left ours back at home." Korey responded.

"We need Ben if we want this dilema to end." I said.

"I'll go get him." Korey volunteered.

"Great. And I'll stay here to make sure Rica doesn't seduce John." Jen sneered at Rica.

Rica frowned and scoffed.

"Good. John, make sure these two don't get into trouble. And make sure to yourself that you don't fall for any of them."

"I promise, babe."

Korey left and slammed the door behind her. Maybe she's pretty angry. It's really distasteful! Doing fornication just like that without thinking of the horrible consequences.

Jen and Rica both got quiet. But my head hurts so much! It's been hurting for a few unfortunate times and I don't know why. Just when I thought that things were looking up... I was so wrong! Maybe it's like they say: "Times will be bad, times will be good." and "There's a rainbow after the storm."

I saw black dots circling around my vision. What is this? I unintentionally fell asleep because of the agonizing pain.
