Damon came back for his little sister as soon as he was transitioned. He found his sister in their favorite spot, a big lake not far from their house, and the sight in front of him made his death heart sink.
There she was, his little baby sister, floating in the ice cold water in the middle of the lake. Her lips were already starting to get blue when Damon pulled her out.
Without a second thought he bit into his wrist and fed it to her. He could only hope for her to wake up.

"I told you, Candice, I'm on my way alright. I can't teleport there. I'll be there in 10" I said while driving to the location of the press tour.
I had woken up a bit earlier so I went to get myself a coffee before the interviews began. But now I am late and the last one to arrive.
Speeding up a bit more I tried to get there as soon as possible. It was busy hour but I managed, there weren't much cars on this road fortunately.
"Well you better hurry because we're up soon." Candice said from the other end of the line. "So is everyone there already or..." I asked trailing off.
I could practically hear her smirking "If you want to know whether Joseph is here, than just say so." I gasped dramatically "Candice I have no idea what you're talking about."
I heard Candice laugh and then some shuffling. I guess she's walking around.
Candice knew I had a slight crush on Joseph Morgan since we started filming but it wasn't something big and I didn't really feel like confessing. We are all pretty close and I don't want to ruin the friendship we have.
I'm not sad about that but Candice has been trying to get me to confess since forever.
"Hey Joseph, say hi to Adelaide." my eyes widen as I try to grab my phone that is on the passenger seat. While I tried to grab my phone it fell down on the passenger seat where I can't reach it.
Great. "Hi, Adelaide" a chorus of Hi's were heard and I smiled to myself. "Hi guys, so I'm almost there and so sorry for being late. BUT I bought donuts for us so I hope I am forgiven." I said while trying to reach for my phone.
