"JEREMY, wake up. You'll be late for school!!" Ayla jumped awake because of someone rapidly knocking on the door and yelling. She groaned and turned around, not wanting to stand up yet. She felt something shift around her and snuggled her body closer to a heat radiating thing. Hold on She opened her eyes and saw a sleeping face right in front of her, just a few inches apart.
Her heart skipped a beat. She was in Jeremy Gilbert's arms. And then it dawned on her, everything that happened yesterday. Jeremy Gilbert, who is her soulmate, lies right next to her and is peacefully sleeping. She admired his face for a bit, he looked so handsome.
She thought of Jeremy, after his parents died he got himself into drugs and then got involved with Vicky Donovan, who is dead. She knew that he loved her and even tho she was dead already anger and jealousy sparked in her.
Jeremy was hers.
Ayla would never let anyone harm one of her mates but what she would even less allow is to see someone else by their side. No one could love them as much as she could. She had no idea who her other mates are but that didn't stop her from caring for them. Now that she had Jeremy she felt as if he was her entire world. She knew it was far too soon, but she loved him and couldn't face the thought of ever letting him go.
She knew that Jeremy would meet Anna soon and she would do anything to prevent it. She had to think. Jeremy gave Anna Jonathan Gilbert's journal but Ayla knew that the journal isn't that important because in the end they still get the tomb open.
Ayla decides that she'll get the journal and give it to Damon so the plot can go on but she refuses to let Jeremy and Anna get close. Because the two soulmates found each other just recently they won't be able to stay away from each other for a few days. The bond has to settle first.
She just hoped this wouldn't be an issue for her to move on with the things she has in mind. But if it meant that Jeremy couldn't be with her then she would drop everything and think of something else.
