I messed up. really. I wrote this chapter and mid way realized that I wrote this in 3rd POV although in the first chapter I wrote it from Ayla's POV. I have to say I like to write 3rd POV more. What do you guys think is better?

I think I'll rewrite the first chapter someday so it's not that confusing, but for now I'm sorry. I think I'll keep writing in 3rd POV though, not sure.

Not proof read. It's late and I'm tired asf so sorry for mistakes I'll check it tomorrow.

.II.

Stefan's usually broody expression was replaced with a shocked one "Ayla" he whispered almost inaudible but the vamps present heard him.

"In the flesh" she grinned.

"What are you doing here?" he asked with a frown. The younger Salvatore rolled her eyes before looking intensely at him. "If Damon is somewhere, I'm not far either, you know that." She then looked behind him seeing a trembling Doppelgänger staring right at her.

"What do we have here? A lousy little Doppelbitch, is it?" Ayla smirked. Ayla never liked Katherine back then. Since the day she arrived her brothers were barely talking to her. She was left alone because she had no one else except for her brothers.

They would always be with Katherine and would act weird, she hated it. Then Katherine was took and she thought that finally she was gone her brothers would act normal again but then they went to help her and died.

When she later found out that the Petrova Doppelgänger was playing with the feelings of both her brothers, and making them hate each other, she felt her blood boil. She wanted nothing more than to find her and rip her heart out. Damon stopped her of course, sadly.

Now seeing Katherine's spitting image in front of her brought all the hate back and she wanted nothing more than to kill her on the spot to prevent all the dramatic events that will occur because of her.

Although this Ayla knew everything about her and the future she still felt a burning hatred for the Gilbert girl, that is because not only became Adelaide Ayla physically but mentally too. She felt all her past and current emotions along with memories they didn't shoot but Ayla Salvatore had, travels with Damon, childhood memories and so on.

She truly is Ayla Salvatore.

She knew she couldn't kill Elena, yet, but she was determined to save people a lot of heartbreak, especially the innocents who died without purpose, mere sacrifices of the save-Elena-troupe.

This is going to be her own story where she is her own author. She will decide her own path. That includes saving people of the allure of another Petrova Doppelgänger.

Elena looked like she was about to shit her pants and only then did Ayla realize that she was still holding Lexi in a tight grip. Her murderous thoughts of the Petrovas had made her squeeze Lexi's neck tighter to which the older vampire was holding back a wince. She immediately loosened her grip.

Stefan looked at his best friend in worry. He hadn't seen his sister for a few decades now, he wasn't sure of what she was capable of. He knew that this Ayla had nothing in common with his sweet little sister from his human years and he also knew that Damon was not a good influence.

"Let her go, Ayla. Your business is with me." He said cautiously, afraid that his sister would kill his best friend. But why would she kill someone she just saved the life of?

A soft chuckle was heard from the young vampire as she released Lexi. "Your stupid, yk. Here I was, thinking my big brother would appreciate it if I save his bestie and welcome me with open arms, but all he does is frown at me. Eyeing me like some monster I know I am, but still." she smirked at the end. Lexi sped beside Stefan, wanting to get a distance between herself and Ayla.

Lexi was older, meaning she should have been able to easily overpower the girl but whatsoever she couldn't. Ayla was too strong, not only her pure strength but also her aura which prevented the blonde vampire of trying to get out of her grip. It was like she was being compelled just through her presence aura or thoughts, whatever you want to cal it, all she could feel was pure power.

"I'm booooooored." Ayla complained for the millionth time. Damon groaned annoyed by his sisters complains. "Then go out and bother Stefan" he suggested with a fake smile. Ayla rolled her eyes "The thought alone of spending time with Stefano, who is most likely to be in the company of a veeery annoying fake Katherine, is making me want to drop death."

Now it was Damon's turn to roll his eyes, still you could see a small grin tugging at his lips. "Then go out and meet new people. Fetch yourself a local boyfriend, aka living blood bag, and enjoy life. Though don't have too much fun with that boyfriend of yours, I don't think your soulmates would like that."

Ayla froze. "What?" she said, now turning serious. Damon huffed "I said you should go meet-" "No, the last part" she cut him off. "I don't think your soulmates would like that?" he said in a questioning tone, confused of her demeanor.

Soulmates? What the hell is a soulmate? Well of course she knows what a soulmate is, but that's not apart of the show. Is it a supernatural thing? She couldn't ask Damon, he would get suspicious.

Without saying anything else she dashed out of the living room and out of the house. Where else could she get answers from than in one of the most supernatural aware towns?

She made her way to the library and went to look for anything soulmate related in the supernatural. She sat at a table with a few books surrounding her.

Soulmates are seen as sacred in the supernatural community. It is a rare occurrence because they need a lot of luck to meet their soulmate. There is no bond or attachments before they meet, which makes it hard to find them, they could be everywhere or maybe they aren't even born yet. They would still feel it if their soulmate died.

Once they do actually meet their eyes will turn a bright gold and the bond starts to form. The bond will get stronger by day and once they get intimate the bond will be complete. On what happens or how it feels to have a complete bond, is unknown.

Some supernaturals have more than one soulmate, usually for no particular reason that we know of. But those creatures are often more powerful than others, simply because they get a stronger feeling of possessiveness and protectiveness over their mates.

That is pretty much everything she could find out. She couldn't believe that soulmates were real and less that she had more than one. She didn't feel anything yet, some urge or pull somewhere but the book said that the bond will start to form once they meet.

It also said that you have to be really lucky to meet them. She slumped in her seat at the thought of never meeting them. Ayla has always been a person that believed in true love and all the romantic clichés. She also loved all the cheesy and mushiness of couple goals.

A movie romance is what she would love to have. Waking up to light morning kisses and late night strolls together. Just taking comfort of the presence of each other, you know... all the cliché stuff.

So the thought of a soulmate was something she desperately wanted now that she knew of their existence.

Hopefully they are not engulfed in Elena drama because that would surely get not only Elena but Mystic Falls killed if they would try to harm her mates.
