We are at 13K reads, I'm so happy!! I was freaking out while on vacation. I'm finally back, sorry again for not updating in two weeks.
I still haven't decided for the mate situation because most of you guys want them to be just mated to Ayla but there are a few who want them all together. I think I'll just surprise you guys and hopefully I can make everyone happy with the story regardless of the mate constellation.

It was the Founder's Day today and Ayla had been busy all day with work outside of town. She was trying to get in contact with Slater before Elijah would arrive. She knew that if she either got close to Slater or get a hold of his computer she would have an immense power.
She had knowledge already, but to know some other Vampires wouldn't harm her. She had to prepare her own little army for safekeeping for the events that will occur. She needed to make sure that through all, Jeremy would stay safe.
While thinking of Jeremy she remembered that she hadn't seen him all day and decided to finish her business quickly and to find her mate.
She missed the parade when she arrived but spotted Jeremy nearly immediately. He was talking with Damon. She narrowed her eyes at her older brother and made her way to them.
"Dick." Jeremy said neutral while he was walking, Damon hot on his trail"Don't talk to me like that. I'm not your sister. And from now on, don't talk to your sister that way either." the oldest Salvatore said while grabbing Jeremy's arm and making him halt.
"You're going to kill me because I hurt Elena's feelings?" Jeremy asked sarcastically, Ayla visibly tensing up and fastening her pace. "Cut her some slack" Damon responded "She tried to erase my memory." "No, I did." Damon cut him off "She wanted to protect you." "That wasn't her call to make" Jeremy started walking again when Damon once again stopped him.
Ayla's had finally enough and came up between her brother and boyfriend. "Let him go." she demanded. Damon glanced at her seeing a fire boodle inside of her eyes, he decided it'd be better to do as she said. She instantly pulled Jeremy behind her and took a defensive stance, looking into Damon's eyes. "If I have to get you off of my mate one more time, I swear to you Damon that a stake to your heart will be the least of your problems. This is my final warning."
She took Jeremy's hand gently and walked away, seeing Stefan approach Damon. When they were out of everyone's sight she looked hi worriedly up and down. "Are you alright?" she asked the boy who smiled at her. He smiled to himself seeing her concerned gaze on him, making sure he wasn't in any harm.
"I'm fine" He said making her relax a bit. Ayla knew that Jeremy still refused to talk to Elena because she tried to make him forget about Vicki. This made her question herself. Did he still love her? She knew Jeremy was nearly obsessed with Vicki, he kept talking about her through nearly every season of the show, but she thought that he would have forgotten her by now.
