"Doc, welcome back!!!" Salubong ni Desiree sa akin pagpasok nya sa clinic ko.
"Nanganak ka ba talaga? Bat ang sexy?!"
"Jusko dzai! Parang walang lumabas na 2 bata sa kipay mo! Bat naman napakasexy? Hot mama naman pala!" Sabi naman ni Hanz.
"Hay nako! Well, thanks for welcoming me back" sabi ko.
"At dahil dyan doc, may 2 new patient tayo, dapat kay Dr. Cortez to, kaso sabi ni Dr. Davis is sayo nalang daw i-assign, pa-welcome daw namin sayo"
"Sige, exit muna kami, ayoko na ng usapang brains!" Sabi ni Jill at umalis sila.
"Nacheck up na yan or consult? How about the tests?"
"Outpatient sila doc eh, nasa emergency, sinugod kagabi dahil nga sa pananakit ng ulo, severe."
"Initial screening from their emergency doctors?"
"Here doc, screening remarks yan from both Emergency Doctor and Optha." Sabi nya at binigay ang papel sakin.
"Sige, we will visit them, paki-inform kung sinong doctor yung naka-assign sa kanila ngayon" sabi ko.
"Sige po, doc. Welcome back ulit. Nakita namin yung picture niyong pamilya sa IG post ni Dr. Davis. Ganda ng lahi niyo!" Sabi nya at lumabas na.
"Nurse Des!" Tawag ko.
"Yes po, doc?"
"Pa-MRI na pala natin yung dalawa. I'll send a request ngayon sa radiology for MRI, pa-pirma ng consent sa immediate family ah"
"Yes po, doc" sabi nya at tuluyan ng umalis.
Gumawa ako ng request for those 2 patients at pumunta sa Radiology.
"Dr. Cooper, welcome back po. Ang sexy namang nanganak nito"
"Baliw, anyway, request yan for MRI, si Nurse Desiree mag-assist later sa patient, then pasend sa akin yung result ah"
"Sure, doc. Malakas ka samin eh. Ito lang po ba?"
"Yep, thanks, Nurse Diego" sabi ko at bumalik na sa office ko.
Ang naiwan sa kambal is yung babysitter nila at andun si Mommy at Mina din sa bahay.
"Welcome back" bati ni Eli sakin nang makasalubong ko sya sa hallway, may dalang frappe from SB.
"Ewan ko sayo" pagsusungit ko. "Para kanino yan? Sa babae mo?" Tanong ko referring to the drinks.
Kinuha nya yung isa at binigay sa akin.
"Yep, one for me, and yung isa para sa nag-iisang babae ko" sabi nya.
"Sus! Binigay mo lang sakin kasi nahuli kitang may dalang ganyan eh"
"Why would I write a name of Beka Davis sa cup kung may babae ako?" Sabi nya.
Napatingin ako sa cup and Beka Davis nga ang nakalagay.
"Ewan ko sayo"
"Says the neuro-surgeon kapag talo sa diskusyon namin" sabi nya at natawa.
Binabati pa kami ng mga dumadaan na ibang doctor at nurse at akala mo eh nanunuod ng teleserye at kinikilig kilig pa.
"How is it so far? You're not having sepanx, are you?"
"Hindi naman ganun ka-grabe, but, I do miss the twins." Sabi ko.
"You'll adjust. Call them or look at the CCTV if you miss them, it's enough for me that they are safe with our parents" sabi nya at uminom dun sa kape nya.
"Love, I know you'll get mad, but, does it ever cross your mind to invite your m–"
"No, baby, and we won't talk about it" sabi nya at mabilis akong hinalikan sa labi.
"For me and the twins?" I even said like blackmailing him, we are his weakness and if it's us, he won't resist it.
And like what I've thought, he heaved a defeated sigh and looked at me.
"In my office" sabi nya kaya dumiretso kami sa office nya.
"Hi Doc, welcome back po" bati sakin ni Nina, secretary nya.
"Thanks, Nina" pagpapasalamat ko.
He sit on his office chair and pulled me to sit on his lap.
"Why do you want to talk about it? She doesn't even asked about you when you got pregnant, and never even asked about how am I doing, so why?"
"I know we have such bad history about our moms"
"Yours is worst, I do know that. What about my mom?"
"Wag nalang, you're getting mad eh"
"Baby, I'm not, annoyed maybe, but, I'm not mad. Why?"
"My mom and I never had closure, and I heard from Daddy Vince that your mom tried to explain herself to you, or like have closure with you, but, you didn't let her"
"What the fuck is closure? She cheated on us, she left us, that's very clear, so bakit kailangan pa ng closure?"
"If my mom just apologized when I was a kid or like after what they did to me, if I have only received an apology from her, maybe maayos kami ngayon. Minsan, akala natin ok na tayo, but, we all need an apology for us to fully move on, for us to be the better version of ourselves. It's just one word, but, it can make a difference. It won't heal the pain, but, it will help us accept the thing we thought we already accepted, and that will help us move on"
"So, are you suggesting for me to talk with her?"
"If you don't want, I won't force you, but, can I at least meet with her? I think your mom is better than my mom, I want to invite her, it's up to her if she will attend or not"
"Baby, you don't even know her"
"Ina rin ako, Elijah, and I can sense that. There are things that I heard that you kept on saying na wala, never nangyari, and such, but, maybe you're just blinded by your feelings towards her. Love, I want our wedding to be solemn, and I want our family to be there."
"So you will talk with your mom too?"
"I plan to visit her, gusto ko magaan yung pakiramdam sa araw ng kasal natin, habang maaga pa, ayusin ang dapat ayusin. Can we do that? Can you do that for me and the twins?"
"Fine talk with her, just inform me how did it go"
"Alright, thank you, I love you so much" sabi ko at sumandal sa dibdib nya habang yakap nya ako.
"I love you so damn much, baby" sabi nya at hinalikan ako sa ulo.
