I'm coming home, I'm finally done with school, and graduation is here I'm Dr. Maverick Maxwell. It hasn't been hard, but defiantly tedious. Carrying the extra classes, summer course work, and work credit all help paved the way for this graduation. My assignment in California is put on hold until we can gather more information from other resources. I'm taking a leave of absents from the Agency to focus on getting better and to have a real vacation. I've missed my family and friends terribly, I hope they haven't forgotten about me.

Landing in Reagan Airport after a 10hour flight with layovers and delays I'm tired. I decided to spend the night in Va and my father will pick me up and fly me home tomorrow. Getting to the hotel I get settle in. I've become more proficient with my wheelchair, I'm able to do more now then I did before. Living in California I had to be independent, I had no private nurse to helping me or a mother to fuss over me.

Relaxing I find myself falling into a deep sleep.
"I have to call it in my partner has been shot in the back, you weren't suppose to shoot him, he's just a kid. ETA is in 15 minutes your men need to be here in 10, or this deal is going South real quick. I have his research info it looks like he's written it in short hand or some sort of code, I can't read it, I have the vials. Let's go, he's out cold."

Graduation day...
Maverick
The guys are here, Avery is graduating as well with his PHd, our dreams are coming true. His parentsare here. Mel and Donavan are here, her roommate Mercedes is here, but I don't see Janell. Cornering Bishop I ask where was Janell, he stated that she had went home, but that she would try to make it back if she could. Feeling all the air leave my sails I couldn't help but feel as if I'd finally pushed her away. We all had breakfast before leaving for the ceremony.

Hearing Avery Aamori and we all cheer for our brother, he's worked so hard to achieve his goals. His parents, Mr and Mrs. Aamori, are able to be here, they travel so much. When they first arrived in the states his parents lived with the missionaries who brought them here. They learned the language and along with the churches help his parents become the voice of their people. His father is in the House of Parliament in Australia, and they all have dual citizenship. Now Avery had a PHd in Bio-chemical engineering.

Waiting for my name to be called I drifted into thought about my final weeks in California and where I am now. I haven't lost my faith in God, but it's been hard to have a positive out look when things stay the same. Hearing my name brings me out of my thoughts, my father comes behind me and pushes me on stage to receive my diploma, I'm so grateful for the support of my father. I graduate with honors and cum laud de. Once graduation is over we all decide to meet at the Bistro around 7 for a dinner celebration.

The Bistro is closed to the public because of the dinner. I was very specific with who I wanted to be here tonight, but as usual my parents didn't listen and did their own thing. I asked if they invited Janell and they said they did. About 30 minutes into the festivities Mr. Chase and Tracy arrives. I haven't seen Mr. Chase since the summer and I hadn't seen Tracy since that day in the Market. So when they saw me the were shocked to see that I was in a wheel chair.

"Mr Chase, Tracy, thanks for coming." I say as I extend my hand. Mr Chase takes my hand and shakes it while Tracy just stands there with concern, and pity on her face. " What happened son, I had no idea..." Before he could finish I go into the story I know so well. Once I finish his face is down cast and Tracy has tears in her eyes. Excusing herself she walks away.

Bishop...
"Janell, get out of the car and come in before I come out there and get you, what are you hiding from"?

"Give me a minute and I'll be in, okay"!

Hanging up the phone, I turn and bump into some one, she's so short that I knock her down. " Are you okay, I'm so sorry I wasn't paying attention." She looks up at me and she seems on the verge of crying. " I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you"! I say as I lift her from the floor I carry her into an empty lounge off to the side. Placing her on the sofa I look her over making sure she's not injured.
