Maverick...
Since the wedding I've been thinking about Janell and I and were I want our relationship to go and how I feel about us. I'm a private person but I'm so torn in what I'm feeling that I need help sorting it all out.

"Hey dad, can we meet up in an hour. I can come wherever you are or I can meet you at home. I'm about 30 minutes out. Okay see you then." Clicking end I return my attention to the road.

I've been gone for 2 months. It's been hectic at Langley with the death of Greenbriar, Holt has been reclusive and now that Shaw is presumed dead it's been all hands on deck. We've been in meetings and on short missions to gather intel concerning the vials. The vials have been hidden inside a safe at a bank for the last few months. I don't know who I can trust.

Once I returned from Panama a formal complaint was filed, but nothing came of it because it was not considered a mission. It's been tension and miss trust between me and the team since. Pulling into my parents drive way I see a very pregnant Mel getting out of her car.

"Hey sweetie how you doing!" Mel ask as she kisses me on the cheek.

"Me, what about you how are the babies!" I ask rubbing her rather large stomach.

"We all are doing just fine thank you, it's Donavan I'm concerned about."

"Still! How long does morning sickness last it's been five months already." I say taking her hand and helping her in the house. "And, anyway are you suppose to be driving."

"Not if Donavan had his way, but I'm okay to drive, just because we are having twins it doesn't mean I can't still do for my self."

"Okay Mel, I hear you, miss independent and all. I know how you can be, I've lived with you for years so I'm not going to argue a mute point. I just want you to be safe okay, don't over do it. Where is your shadow anyway I can't believe your here without him."

"Your wrong for that Maverick, Donavan is not my shadow. He's at the Cave, he said he had some work to do so I didn't want to be home alone. I decided to come over after class."

"How's classes going anyway?"

"Good, aren't you going to ask about her."

"Her? Who? Janell? No, I'm good." I say walking further up the steps and opening the front door so that we both could go in.

It's been about two months since Janell ended things with me. It's been to hard to even think about it. But I can't help thinking about her, and praying for her, us, that somehow we will get back together. That's why I need to talk to my dad I know he can help me.

"Ma, dad where are you guys, we here."

"Boy, I know your not yelling in my house, what's wrong with you." My mother say as she's coming out of the kitchen drying her hands on a dish cloth.

"Hey mom! It smells good in here what are you cooking." Melanie ask heading into the kitchen with us trailing her.

"I'm making lamb chops, fried potatoes and onions, with green beans and a peach cobbler for desert. I knew you were coming by, but this one slipped in, are you staying for dinner Maverick."

"Does the Hoover Dam hold water? Yeah I'm staying! I'm ready to eat right now!" I say taking a seat at the table.

"Well, dinner will be in an hour, your dad is in his office go say hi you two." Mom said as she goes back to cooking in the kitchen."

"Mel I need to talk to dad you mind coming in later, I'll let him know your here okay."

"Yeah Mav that's fine. I'm going to lay down in my room I'll see you at dinner. Oh and I know for a fact that she misses you like crazy."
