Janell...
"Your kidding me right. Flowers, chocolate, and a bear, so I'm that easy you think. Just give me a few things and show me attention and I'll forgive you."
"Yes, maybe, I don't know, atleast talk to me. Maybe we can go out on a date or at least just hangout. Please, let me explain the photo and what it's really about."
"Maverick, what can you explain, the photo is clear."
"Listen love, you are the only one for me and no women can change that. I was in DC for a meeting concerning my trip to China. That women was one of the clients from China and we were meeting to finalize the the goals and objectives of the trip. It was nothing more than that."
"Why didn't you tell me that from the beginning."
"And how many of my phone calls did you take, and how many of my text messages did you answer. Okay, that's exactly why I couldn't tell you. You weren't trying to here me."
"Mav, sweetie I'm so sorry, and oh you know I love chocolate, and the bear is so cute I can put it with his other two brothers, Panda and Ivan."
"Yeah well since I'm back into your good graces let's get something clear, if you have a problem, issue, question, concern, or a point to make, talk to me about it first before jumping to conclusions. I'm tired Janell of the break ups, shut downs, stubbornness, the ignoring, and the lack of verbal communication."
"Your right Maverick I know we can do better."
"What just happened here? Did Janell say she was wrong and I was right?"
Shutting the door in Mavericks face gave me some small satisfaction, it was shortly lived when he opened the door and his eyes sparkled and his dimples winked at me. I could see that he had tanned since the last time I saw him, and he's put on at least 20 pounds since he's been able to walk again.
"Take a picture it last longer, I see you looking at me!" Maverick said with a smirk on his face while standing in the doorway.
"What? Wait I wasn't looking at you like that. Was I? It's been to long since I last seen you is all you look different."
"Naw baby what you see is a man in love looking at you."
"Good gracious people are you guys finish with all this foolishness! Maverick she's sorry. Janell he's sorry. Okay you forgive each other, now shut up some of us are trying to study for finals." Tracy say as she sashay into the kitchen for her third cup of coffee.
"Frankly I'm tired of the two of you. You breakup, makeup, and breakup again, get it together, be a couple work through your issues." Tracy said.
"For your information Tracy we've never broken up technically and we do work things out. Sometimes things happen, and you have to take a step back to evaluate what's going on." I say taking offense to her perception of our relationship.
"Sure, okay, well I'm off to my room to study. Good to see you Maverick, take care of our girl she's crazy when your not around."
"Bye Tracy!" I say as she goes into her room.
"Janell, trust is so important. I know most times I'm asking you for blind trust but it's what's needed for right now, it won't be always. Okay."
"Okay Maverick. Listen I have two finals tomorrow and I really need to study."
"Enough said I'll call you tomorrow. Night!"
Once Maverick left I was able to concentrate and stay on task. I will admit that for the past month I'd been on edge and moody. I really need to get myself together I can't be so bipolar when it comes to this relationship. I care for Maverick but I have to care for me more.
