"This is your captain speaking, Captain Xiomora De Vera. First I'd like to welcome everyone on Fly Asia flight 14A. We are currently cruising at an altitude of 34,000 feet at an airspeed of 500miles per hours. Please fasten your seatbelt, Dear passengers."
I really don't know why I became a Pilot, Since originally, My dream was to become a fashion designer and the icon itself. I never been the happiest when it comes to my job, Because I never like it. Not even once. I just love the essense of elegance of being a pilot, Anything else, Was pointless.
"Flight Attendants, Prepare for take-off please. Cabin crew, Please take your sit for landing." I announced.
After a 4 hours flight from New york to Philippines, I am finally off-duty.
"Capt. De Vera!" I heard my partner calling me.
Hawak ko na ang malita ko, I'm ready to go home. And have fun.
"Capt. Lopez, How may I help you?" pagtatanong ko.
We are already three years partner inside the plane. My co-pilot. He's okay, But, I am not comfortable when I am with him. He's a hotty, But his charisma never tamed me. Chester Lopez...
"The crew are planning to have a dinner later, They want you to come," He blurted.
Napangiti ako. "I'm sorry, I'll be meeting my friends tonight."
Lumalay ang balikat niya. "You never attend our dinner, Captain.. You should atleast come, this once." pangungulit niya.
"I'm sorry, You know me right?" I paused. "My schedule were already....fixed, Chester."
Ever since I became a Pilot in Fly Asia, I never attended any crew dinner, Christmas gathering or any other events that everyone attended. Why? Because they just wanted me to be there to show face, Fly Asia...Is owned by my family. They just wanted to be friends with me because I am one of the heir of this airline. I hate that fact.
