Haime POV
"It's not like I own the place" I say as he sits. "But don't you kind of own the space you're in?" He says. "How old are you?" I ask him. "18, you?" "Okay, Keeho. We're the same age"* I tell him and he nods. "Are you going to tell me your name?" I shake my head. "I'm not really looking for new friends right now, the ones I have are already stressful enough" I explain.
"So that's why you're sitting here" I nod. "Why are you sitting here?" I ask him.
We don't have to be friends to have a conversation, right?
"I'm new here and I don't have any friends. You're actually the first person I've talked to in a week" I laugh. "Do you have social anxiety?" "I'm just not outgoing in a crowd. You're alone. Easy to approach, I guess" he explains. "Well, we can hangout until you find friends" I tell him and he nods.
"Thanks..." I almost told him my name "Blue" I look at him confused. "Why Blue?" "When I met you, you were Blue, kind sad and stressed" I nod. "Also like the ocean. It's Blue, mysterious and deep, like you" he says. "You have a weird perspective but I'm a good way" I smile while standing up "Lunch should be ending soon"
"I hope to see you again, Blue" he says and I nod "Can I meet you again?" He asks. "I said you could until you make friends" "Where should I meet you next time?" He says excitedly and I suppress a smile. "Here. We'll meet here" The bell rings and we bid each other goodbye.
With Hyunjoo
Hyunjoo and her friends go out for a drink. "I can't believe that rat broke up with me or that bastard told him" She complains taking a shot of vodka. "Hyunjoo, if he's a rat why are you drinking because of him?" Chaeyoung asks her. She rolls her eyes at Chaeyoung.
"I'm not! How am I supposed to see Sunghoon now" her other friend, Juri scoffs. "Maybe he really doesn't like you, it's never taken you this long to seduce someone before" Hyunjoo glares at her drunkliy.
"I've never encountered someone so stupidly in denial. He's using someone else to get over me" She explains. "Then get rid of her. So he has no choice" Chaeyoung says and Juri smacks her. "You're both dumb. Why are you asking Chae? Aren't you an undercover lesbian?" Chaeyoung doesn't look at Juri. "Just look for someone else, someone better" She rolls her eyes.
They were all mixed up. Hyunjoo was having boy trouble, Chaeyoung couldn't accept herself and Juri had some messed up friends. "As the only rational one and the girlfriend in a committed relationship you should really get over it"
She tries again. "There is no one better!" Hyunjoo drunkly whines. "You're just not looking, trust me" Juri deadpans as her phone beeps, her boyfriend wants her home. "Alright, I have to go home. Bye dumbasses"
Hyunjoo was having an internal conflict. Should she listen to Chaeyoung or Juri? Keep chasing him or move on? "I've never had this hard of a time before! I can't give up" She promised herself she would have Park Sunghoon.
A couple days later
Sunghoon POV
I still hadn't talked to Angel or anyone really. Sanbin is still avoiding us or me since Haime gave up on me. I can't blame her but ever since then I've been bombarded by a bunch of girls and guys trying to be my 'friend'. I really miss Angel but for some reason I'm not as excited for the competition or seeing her.
I'm taking a week off of school in 2 days. Haime finally came to talk to me "Are you actually leaving in two days?" She asks and I nod. "Well... I'm still rooting for you. Good luck, Sunghoon" she gives me a small smile.
"Blue!" We both turn in the direction of the voice and it's some kid I've never seen before waving at Haime. "I guess I'll see you around" She walks over to him and they disappear into the crowd of the hallway. I close my locker and drag myself to class. Sanbin hasn't been skipping our classes together but he's been avoiding me still.
Sitting in the very back, hidden. My eyes have been stained red, since every chance I get I seem to cry. I play it off as sleepy cause of the competition and people believe it, thankfully.
With Sanbin
In the Hallway.
Sanbin quietly opens his locker avoiding Sunghoon. He was devastated that he brought around someone that hurt his best friend. Sanbin was ashamed of himself and he missed his best friends but he just couldn't face them.
He felt so dumb for not realizing it sooner. He switches out his books for the next class he had which thankfully didn't include Sunghoon. On his way to class he heard whispering.
"Did you hear?"
"Hear what?"
"About Park Sunghoon hyung"
"I heard he's leaving"
"The school?"
"For how long?"
"Some are saying it's permanent for his ice skating"
Sunghoon was leaving the school? Permanently? When was this? Sanbin frowned, was Sunghoon leaving the school because Sanbin stopped talking to him? But he would never do that, right?
"I'm gonna miss him"
"He's leaving the day after tomorrow"
"Finally. More ladies for me"
"Shut up, Donggu"
Sanbin stopped listening for it was too much for him and he was gonna be late for his class. He wondered had he made the right decision on leaving Sunghoon alone. Sunghoon still looked very sad and tired whenever he would see him in class.
He wished he'd never met Hyunjoo after school or even talked to her when she approached him. He was so excited to have a girlfriend to brag about he didn't pay enough attention to his friends.
All that for nothing, Sanbin was single and friendless now. He really hoped Sunghoon's departure was just a rumor.
