31: Leaving & Accepting/ Girlfriend Pt.1

Sunghoon POV

The Next Day

"Sunghoon-ah, I'm sure she has her reasons" my mom says as we enter the airport. "I know, mom. I can still be sad" I say with more attitude than intended. I look around hoping she'll have changed her mind, that she'll run into my arms. I'm hoping that she'll tell me she wants to be together with me forever but I know she won't.

My mom drags me to the boarding area. "I really hate seeing you sad. Can you cheer up for me?" Mom ask me "I'll cry if my baby is sad" she says which makes me laugh. "Don't cry mom. I'll be okay. I promise" she kisses my cheek. "Here you are reassuring me when I'm the adult" she chuckles.

"Reassurance Is that your love language?" She asks me. "What's a love language?" She laughs at me. "Its the way you act to show your love toward others. You often keep telling me you'll wait for me" I nod.

"Come on, son" I blink back tears and follow my mom. We enter the plane and it's more crowded than on the way here. We inch our way to our seats and find we have a seat mate, a girl. My mom smiles at me and whispers "say hi" she pushes me into the isle and sits closer to the isle forcing me to sit next to the girl.

I clear my throat and sit "Hi" I say in my clearest English. The girl turns around and my eyes widen "Angel!" She smiles at me, I turn to my mom and tap her. "Mom, mom! Look!" I turn to Angel. "I thought-I thought" I can't finish my sentence I'm so surprised and happy and shocked. "My dad really likes you" she grabs my hand "and so do I" she says and I kiss her.

Back in Florida
Mrs. Reed walks into her home, locking her door. She receives a message from and unsaved number. "How did he get my number?!"

Talia,
Our 16 year old daughter is old enough to make her own decisions hence why she was allowed emancipation. It's a shame she was so afraid of you hating her that she didn't even wanna tell you that she quit Ice skating and moved to Korea with her new boyfriend, who I completely approve of, so she asked me to tell you instead. Don't make the same mistake you made with me to her and lose the one good thing you did in your life. All the best~ Adrian.

Mrs. Reed growls at her phone and slams it on the floor. "Why wasn't I aware of this?!!" She screams. Mrs. Reed firmly believes that her ex-husband influenced her daughter to rebel against her.

"How could she be so dumb? I have not taught her well?! Doesn't she see he's turning her against me and she's letting him!!" 

She picks up her phone and dials Angel up but gets no answer. She calls again and again and again, still no answer. She looks around her house and begins to cry. She wondered what she would do without Angel.

Sunghoon POV

I still can believe that Angel is here with me now. I squeeze her hand again to make sure she's real. "Aish! I'm still mad at you" she says. "Why?" "You kissed me in front of your mom" she frowns and I hug her. "Soon I'll be kissing you in front of everyone" I whisper as we walk to baggage claim.

"Angel, do you have somewhere to stay?" My mom asks. "I'm going to stay at a hotel until my place is ready. I should be there for a few days" she says. "I can't have my daughter in law sleeping at hotel. I trust you, just tell me of Sunghoon-ah bothers you, okay?" She smirks at Angel.

"Yah! What do you mean?" They laugh at me "who's your child?" I ask. "Angel" Angel nods at her "call me Mom" "Okay, Mom" I kiss Angel's forehead.  "You heard her!" She points at me, I gasp innocently.

"When's your first day of school?" I ask excitedly. "Monday" she says and I jump up and down "speaking of I need to buy uniforms" I grab my keys. "Mom! I'm going to buy uniforms for Angel!" I say.

"Hurry back!" I grab Angel's hand and gently walk her to my car. "After we buy your uniforms I want to give you something" she nods as I start the car.

"Navy blue isn't a bad color" Angel says looking at her uniform. "You'll look good in anything though" she smiles and I poke her dimples in turn she pokes mine. "I'm so happy I get to see you everyday" I tell her "I would be too if I were you" I stick my tongue out at her. "Come on, I need to tell you something" I say.

"I thought you were going to give me something!" "Both, I'm doing both" I drive like a crazy person to the park and make it right before sunset.

I made it!

"You're not going to kidnap me are you?" I shake my head. "Don't need to you're never leaving me, anyway..." I grab her hands and guide her toward the center of the park. "Okay... there" she should be able to see the sunset from here.

"Angel, I wish I would've said something sooner so it would've been a lot smoother but I'm going to do it now" I get on one knee. "Oppa!" She whispers yells "get up people are staring at us" I look around and sure enough people are staring, I clear my throat.

"Angel Taylor Reed, will you please be my girlfriend?!!!!" I scream out for everyone to hear and she hits me. "Aish! Do you want everyone to know that I'm your girlfriend?" "Wait you'll be my girlfriend?!!" She nods and I scream with excitement.

"She said yes! Angel Taylor is my girlfriend! She said yes!" I calm down and look at her. "Can I kiss you?" She grabs my neck and kisses me.

"Please! Stop please!"

"I don't want to kiss you!"

"Let me go, please!"
