That night, Jasper had helped Theresa get settled and ready for bed.
Theresa couldn't have been more thankful for her mate as her head hit one of his pillows, content.
Once Jasper pulled the covers over her body, she instantly fell asleep.
She was sleeping fine, better than usual actually, until she was rudely awaken by yelling coming from the hallway.
"He might know the scent Edward!"
"He already kissed you without your permission! Once you enter that house I can't protect you anymore!"
Theresa raised herself up from the bed and leaned on her elbow, she reached for the light that sat on the nightstand and turned it on. She grabbed her phone beside the light and turned it on, looking at the time, 3:00 am.
"You've got to be kidding me" Theresa mumbled to herself as she threw the covers off of her and got out of bed.
She opened the bedroom door to see Bella, Edward, and Jasper standing in the hallway.
"Do you guys have any idea what time it is?" The girl asked the three, causing them to whip their heads around, not expecting Theresa to be awake.
"I'm sorry darlin', go back to bed" Jasper quickly said, rushing over to Theresa's side and ushering her back into his room.
As Jasper ushered Theresa back to his room, his hand laid delicately on the center of her back, she looked over at Bella.
She noticed the look on her face, how she looked like she'd been crying. Bella looked back at Theresa, her eyes almost asking her to stay with her and take her side.
"No" Theresa said, noticing the look on her cousin's face, "I'm awake now" She said, looking between the three, "What's wrong?"

"He what!?"
"Ow Tess!" Edward yelled, taking a hand off the steering wheel to hold his ear, "That was loud."
"Oh stop it," Theresa rolled her eyes, "Your immortal eardrums will be fine."
Theresa looked back over at Bella, "He kissed you?" She asked, surprised that Jacob just forced him self onto Bella, but Bella only nodded.
"So, we're meeting with him so Edward can attack him?" Theresa asked as she looked at the speedometer, Edward speeding to the Swan household.
"No," Jasper said, causing Theresa to whip her head around. She couldn't help but gawk at how the moonlight shined over his features, causing him to look more ethereal than normal.
Jasper smirked, feeling Theresa's emotions of love and attraction, before continuing to speak, "A vampire was in Bella's room, but we don't know who. Bella wants to let Jacob into her room to catch the scent of the nomad, so he can tract him as well, but the treaty between us and the wolves states that we can't pass the treaty line."
"And the treaty line is..." Theresa trailed off.
"Your house" Jasper answered, "But if Bella goes in alone with Jacob, Edward is worried that Jacob will kiss her again."
"You explain complicated situations so well" Theresa said, causing him to crack a smile, but earning glares from the couple in the front of the car.

The three stood outside the Swan residence, Edward and Jasper standing on their side of the treaty.
Theresa thought it was stupid that the two creatures couldn't get along, but a treaty was a treaty.
"You can blink, you know" Theresa said, noticing Edward's blank stare at the Swan household's front door. Edward turned and glared at the human before his attention was taken by the front door opening.
There stood Bella with Jacob behind her; both exiting the house.
Edward clenched his jaw, causing Theresa to laugh lightly. He was so jealous for absolutely no reason. I mean, Bella went all the way to Italy to save his life and forgave him instantly after he left her for months. If she wanted to leave, she would've by now.
Bella and Jacob walked towards the three.
The five stood in silence until Theresa broke it, "Can you tell us what you found? It's freezing and I want to go back to bed."
Jacob rolled his eyes before doing just that, "Whoever it was, he left his stink behind. It'll be hard to miss when we cross it again. We'll handle it from here."
"We don't need you to handle anything. Or anyone" Edward quickly stated.
"I could care less what you need" Jacob quipped back, "This is about protecting the girls and Charlie and the pack can do just that, with or without you."
The two stood in silence, glaring at each other.
After about a minute of glaring between the two, Edward broke the silence, "Alright, we're done here" He said, grabbing Bella's wrist.
"No, you're done here" Jacob said, grabbing Bella's other wrist quickly.
"You've got to be kidding me" Theresa said before moving towards the three and unlocking both of their hands from Bella's wrists.
"Bella isn't a rag doll that you two can fight over. She's human, she'll break" Theresa said, intertwining her hand with Bella's and moving towards the house.
"Stop!" Bella yelled, disconnecting their hands, causing Theresa to throw her head back and groan, "Here we go."
Bella walked back over to the vampire and werewolf and stood in between them, "I'm tired of this. From now on I'm Switzerland, okay?" Bella asked, looking between the two, who hesitantly nodded.
Bella sighed, content with their answer, before walking away from the two.
"You know this is all your fault-" Jacob began to speak, but was cut off by Theresa yelling, "Hey!"
"I don't expect you guys to play a nice game of catch, but right now we have a problem. And this is one temporary solution. So, if you two can put this macho feud to the side for like a week that would be great."
The two supernatural creatures stood there in silence, looking at the human girl that somehow frightened them a bit.
"Anything else before I walk into this house?" Theresa asked.
"We need to coordinate," Jasper spoke, causing all eyes to look over at him, "You know, schedules and stuff. So we're not breaking the treaty."
"Good point" Theresa said, before looking at Jacob, "Would the pack prefer days or nights?"
Jacob looked at the girl, "Days"
Theresa asks, turning towards Edward and Jasper, "Will nights work for your family?"
Edward and Jasper shared a look before nodding in agreement.
"Good. See?" Theresa asked looking between the three supernatural creatures, "How hard was that?" Theresa asked before walking into the house, Bella following behind her.
