Eventually, as we reach our destination, we were met up with our village head, Kulashekarar ayya(denotes respect) inside our home. My parents were standing to his right side as Ayya was sitting on a chair, decking out as usual a pure white dhoti and shirt with thundu (a scarf clothe) hung on his one shoulder.

He smiles when his eyes land on me."Ayya, how are you!?" I beam back in surprise. It isn't every day that you will be able to see him in his carefree state.

He mostly has a stone expression, while bestowing retribution and judgment during panchayat (some co-leaders and village head would analyze the problem and charge people guilty when any problem arises among the village masses).

And issues are never less in our village! Somedays, it's the dimwit couples problem, and other days, it's between those mother in law and daughter in law dilemmas and many more of all sorts of disputes.

Among all those, the most irritating case is of the property splitting up matters! I just loathe it to the core.

Because it's no fun to watch.

Anyways, now thinking about all that, I think I'm the only harmless human in this entire village!

Exaggerating myself by the above words, I agree. But still, I would rather cry than incite debates with people. It helps me to stay away from trouble. Cause due to my well crying capacity, people would put limits while indulging in any serious conversation with me.

In simple words, they can't bear to listen to my sobbings.

"Fine ma, you?" Ayya replies and I suddenly pluck myself out from my aimless thoughts. "I'm very good ayya! But this Yadhav had bitten me in my fingers, which is truly hurting" I allot a disheartened gaze towards Yadhav who stands clutching the edge of my blue half saree that dangles on my shoulder. He was glancing at ayya in horror.

Most of them are afraid of ayya! Panchayat leader and village head he is!!!

My parents shush me with an angry glance as soon as I say about yadhav's action. As a response, I pout sadly looking at them. What did I do wrong!?

Ayya signals his hand to cool off my parents and starts to speak. "Ayoo, don't do that again little guy," he tells Yadhav who just nods his head busily.

His attention then fell on my parents and he slowly got up from the chair. "I should go now, the motive for my visit is to inform you about my son's arrival at tomorrow evening. And also, Raghav, I need you to be his guide as well as a mentor about our financial state when he comes here for his vacation. He has to know everything about it before my time ends in the world. As you are my accountant, I assign you to educate my son about every property available to mine here and its details. That is why I require you to be with him. He also lacks knowledge about our traditions, so enlighten him on that aspect too. After all, this is the first time he is coming here after leaving for the city for his college studies." He sighs as he ends his speech.

My father agrees with ayya's words and I boom with a question. "What is your son's name ayya?" I ask in curiousness. I know he has a son but never bothered to do much research on him.

"Kathiravan" he replies with a smile.
That name sounds good. I wonder what his personality and looks are, and whether he is married or not?
