The week flew by and before they knew it, it was time for the wedding ceremony.  The day before the wedding, Chris and Andrew drove down to the beach and got checked into their hotel rooms.  Andrew complaining the whole time they were spending the night apart.

"I still don't understand why we have to have separate rooms for the one night," Andrew said, sitting on the bed in Chris' room.

"Because it's bad luck for us to spend the night before the wedding together," she sat next to him.  "It's only for the night."

"Still," he looked down.  "I hate the idea of leaving you alone."

"I'll be fine.  Plus, I'm not going to be alone. Sara is on her way out here and she's staying with me."

Andrew rolled his eyes.  "I still don't know why she's coming here."

"Because she's my maid of honor and my best friend.  She has to be here."

"Don't even get me started on that.  And what happened to Jami?  Thought she was your best friend."

"After I moved out here, we lost touch.  You know this already," she sighed.  Since she moved out to California, she still worked for the same agency, just the California offices and she lost touch with her former co-workers.

"Still.  Are you sure we can't just forget about the bad luck thing?  I mean, what's the worse that could happen if we actually spend the night together?"

"Baby," she rubbed his leg. "We've been through this."

"It's just, we've never spent the night apart since I found out you were pregnant.  And I hate being away from you tonight.  What if something happens?  And don't say nothing will.  You never know.  What if it does and I'm not here with you?"

"Your room is literally next door," she laughed.  "If anything, and I do mean it's a long shop anything would happen, I'm sure Sara would get you."  She leaned over and kissed his cheek and ran her fingers through his hair.  "I'm going to be fine."

Andrew closed his eyes and rested his head on her shoulder.  "If you say so.  But I'm not going to feel better until it's tomorrow and I see you walking down the aisle and we'll be husband and wife."

"I can't wait for that, either."  She lifted his head up to look into his eyes.  "Everything is going to be fine."

Andrew placed a hand on her stomach.  "It's the first time I'm going to be away from the two of you."

Chris understood what was getting him upset and knew that no matter how many times she told him she would be fine tonight, he wasn't going to stop worrying about her or the baby.  She placed her hand over his and kissed him.

"I'll admit, it is going to be different not having you next to me during the night," she said quietly.

"You know...there's still some time when it's just us in here," he said, nuzzling up against her neck.

"Andrew, we can't," she said, though it was hard turning him down when she felt his lips on her neck.

"Why not?" He mumbled.

"Because, we just can't.  We shouldn't," she said.  "This should wait until tomorrow night."

"Baby, I don't think I'm going to survive waiting until tomorrow," he said, breathy.  He continued to kiss her neck, knowing she was going to eventually cave in.

She wanted to fight it.  Their wedding was tomorrow, but he wasn't making it easier for her that they wouldn't be spending the night together.

"Andrew," she said, closing her eyes.
