I didn't bother talking to Orion after finding out my position, in all honesty I was madder than anything that I knew if I spoke to him, I would break. I sat in lunch with the ducks talking to Julie since Adam had to sit with varsity considering he was on their team now. I was bummed out about it, but I knew it was for the best. I was chatting with Julie when Rick and the varsity team approached our table
R- hello ducks
G- what do you want.
C- we don't want you over here
Rick and they chuckled as Adam just stood there not saying anything
R- relax we just wanted to invite you guys to a dinner tonight, it's at a nice restaurant just down the road. it's to welcome you guys to Eden Hall, consider it a welcome party. think about it
he walked away and Adam looked at us with a small smile
Ad- its cool guys!
he walked away making us all look at each other with questionable looks before Luis spoke up
L- I say we do it
Ch- what?! no way-
F- why not? i mean what's the worst that happens
Dw- they get us into trouble somehow, I don't know I don't trust them
Da- I'm with Dwayne on this, it just seems like a trap to me.
I rolled my eyes as they continued to bicker on and on until I got annoyed an slammed my hands on the table standing up
A- shut up okay! it's just a dinner, worse case that happens in some of you were right and they punked us. but what if this is just them being nice huh? us not going will give us another target on our backs
J- i agree with A on this. let's just do it

eventually everyone agreed and that was the plan, after practice today we were gonna go to dinner with the varsity team. we all practiced to our hearts content getting yelled at for slacking until it was time to go shower and change so I skated to Orion
A- coach! can I have a word?
he looked at me nodding as he skated to me
A- why did you move my position to backup defense? I'm clearly a center! I know nothing about defense, I'm a scorer!
O- you and Conway both seem to have the same issue. you are known for your strength on the ice not your scoring, you are more needed on defense than on center.
A- than why am I back up?! why am I second to the boys?
O- Astred this doesn't have anything to do with you being a girl and them being boys. they are extremely helpful on the ice, and I believe that I want to wait till the right time to use you so that you don't get injured before we need you. understood?
i was about to continue fighting but the look on his face clearly gave me the hint not to, I just nodded and skated off the ice an walked into the locker room. I took a quick shower and walked back to my dorm getting ready while Julie and Connie were doing their hair

(that's what she is wearing) I curled my hair and put on some makeup as Connie and Julie were finishing getting ready. Once i was done I walked out there as they waited smiling at me
J- you look so good! if you don't get wife up, I will marry you myself!
C- same! if guy don't propose I will marry you!
I chuckled and smiled at them as I slipped on my shoes
A- you guys look good as well, let's go out to the ducks so they aren't waiting too long
they nodded and we left our dorm walking down the stairs and outside to were the guys were waiting
Av- hobba hobba! now those are some smoking hot ladies!

Guy walked to Connie and complimented her while Julie and i started to walk with the group to the place. *a little into the dinner* I was seated across from Rick and Charlie drinking my drink an socializing with some of the guys just laughing about nonsense, half way through the dinner Rick made a speech before the varsity team got up saying they had something for us. Adam seemed a little upset but he followed them confusing me slightly
G- I heard it was a cake!
Ch- for real? awesome!
some of the team started to cheer quietly until the cake came out, it had a note on it saying thanks for dinner right as the waiter gave Charlie the receipt
Av- you have got to be kidding me
C- $857?! how the hell are we gonna pay that?!
Guy was trying to calm her down while i sighed talking the bill from Charlie making the ducks look at me
A- I got it don't worry
J- we can't just use you-
Dean spoke up cutting her off
D- use her money really jules? she is loaded with it. I'm sure she can pass up a couple hundred bunks not that her cake eater ass needs it
I glared at Dean standing up pulling my debit card out and walking to the waiter to pay not bothering to fight with Dean on this. Once paid I walked back to the ducks as we started getting ready to leave. once we were outside, luis walked next to me
L- Kai is gonna kill you for spending that money Ash
i looked at Luis as he as right next to me while we all were walking back
A- it's fine, I will have it handled
L- ash that money was for emergencies only, she's going to notice you used it to pay for dinner and lose her shit-
A- i just told you i will handle it Luis, it's fine
he dropped the subject and I thought it would end there but little did i know a certain curly hair boy was listening to the conversation the whole entry time.
