(her brace is under the shirt instead of over it) it's been a day since I have been admitted to the hospital, I get to leave today but first they needed to fill out all the discharge papers and make sure I have a place to go that won't cause more injury to my back. that leads us to today, kai was filling out the papers while I had just gotten out of the bathroom. the back brace supported my back enough to help it heal while I also had to take some meds for the pain. Alec helped me back to my bed handing me the food she had bought me, I started to eat it while Kai looked at me making me roll my eyes
A- I told you I'm not going back home Kai
she scuffed in frustration as we have been going at this since this morning
K- why? it's better for you just to go home Ash! come on, you can't play hockey there meaning they will probably revoke your scholar anyways
A- than we will just pay for the schooling, we can work with that! we have the money Kai, please! I love going to school there!
K- do you? or is it just because Dean is there hm
I rolled my eyes again getting annoyed with this conversation
A- this has nothing to do with him! God, forbid I want to attend a school with friends, a school that can offer me opportunities! I'm not going back home Kai and that's finally!
she looked at me than back at the discharge papers standing up
K- fine. I'm not arguing with you anymore, I'm going to bring these to the nurse so we can attend that meeting.
I nodded putting on my shoes after throwing out the trash before brushing my teeth, we waited for the doctors okay before we left. i got into the car as Alec started to drive, I was a little nervous considering this meeting was all about whether or not i can even stay in Eden. *Once they are there, in the room* I sat in the car in between Alec and Kai, the dean's were talking about the incident and everything that had anything to do with it. Then the Dean's looked at us before Buckley spoke
B- okay so I think we have came to a conclusion
Kai's head peaked up at his words, Alec held onto my hand as a way of comforting me knowing my anxiety is rising
B- we will allow Ms. Mendoza to finish up her year here at Eden. if her injury clears up by next year than she is allowed to continue her scholarship here at Eden playing hockey but shall it not, she will be removed from our program
K- I understand Mr. Buckley, thank you so very much!
she shook hands with everyone while I stood up carefully with Alec, we walked out of the conference room with Kai as I saw Dean standing there. he looked at me and walked over with a soft smile
D- what did he say??? are you staying?
I could tell Kai was annoyed with him, but I didn't care, I hugged him as he wrapped his arms around me
A- they are letting me keep my scholar
he cheered lifting me up being mindful of my back as he spun us around, he put my down after a few moment and kissed my head chuckling
D- looks like your stuck with me for the rest of the year
I chuckled nodding as he held onto my hand
Ax- as much as I don't want to break up this lovely moment, we have a plane to catch so let's say our goodbyes before we are stuck here for the night
I nodded letting go of Dean's hand and hugged Alec before hugging Kai who held me a little longer than Alec did
K- be careful, I'm only a call away yeah?
A- don't worry about me, I have your toughness
she chuckled pulling away before they bided their goodbyes and leaving. Dean walked me back to my dorm and helped me unpack my bag that Kai had bought for me when I was at the hospital. I changed out of my clothes into some nice comfy pj's before throwing my hair up and laid on my bed next to Dean.

Once I got comfortable after a few moments of struggling with the brace before he covered us with a blanket and wrapped his arms around me holding me against his chest as I was laying on my side
D- it's good to have you back in my arms again Ash...
i smiled leaning into him more closing my eyes as I breathed in his scent, his scent kind of changed since the first day we met. first it was almost like a wood smell in a way but now it changed to almost a nice butter cream scent, it was addicted. I didn't realize I had drifted off until when I woke up the moment and Dean was gone. I guess his scent almost puts me to sleep, weird.
