Sweet & Bitter

I'm from the laughters and kisses.
With many people who miss us.
I hear mom in the kitchen.
Can you listen to the music to full blast?
The past flashes fast.
Hear the bang of every hit from the piñata by using the piñata stick.
I appreciate everything I have.
I can feel the silky and warm coats, during the winter.
I keep missing having you here with me, my dearest friend of whom I'll sacrifice my life to, I miss you the most.
But I know I'm from the angels in heaven in which I know you're there now.
And someday I'll be there as well.

Mom doesn't let her daughters' eyes grow rivers,
she disallows it.
Dad shows and tells us lessons, he transmits wisdom.
I may be my own prison right now.
But I know that I won't bow to my defeat.

Because I'm from the bitter and sweet.
Coffee and tea.
My mind is like the sea.
There's the surface where you can see it all.
But deeper you go the darker it gets the least you see my true self.
But having my friends and family is the key.
The key to my freedom.
I see once again my dad and my dearest sisters in the living room playing video games.
My memories are like videotapes.
I can still taste the warm and chocolaty chocolate caliente.
On Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve with the family.
My parents have tried to keep me and my sisters in their pockets.
I can see the growling and mysterious beach waves that I'm so drawn to.
Both of my parents are my raves.
They've come from different stories.
My dad didn't want us to relive his life,
so he always tries his best to give us love and support.

I am from the rights and wrongs,
The light and darkness, the ying-yang.
I can still feel the dirt running through my fingers as I'm planting roses in the garden.
I can still hear my parents' prayers.
Whenever I or my sisters are sick.
Whenever I was smaller I thought I had to learn and fix my mistakes quickly.
But as I got older I realized that,
the more mistakes I make the more I grow and the more I learn.
My family's love has always made me glow.
Even if I fear to be left alone.
Someday I'll take pictures and keep them for the next generations.
Just like my mom has done.

I am from the sun and the moon.
I can hear different tunes.
My mom's tune is always cheerful and confident,
like a Taurus.
My dad's tune is wise but goofy,
like an Aquarius.
My middle sister's tune is goofy but active,
as a Gemini.
My little sister's tune is shy but upbeat,
like a Cancer.
My tune in cheerful, but with deep lyrics,
like a Cancer.
Yes, my parents have made mistakes.
But no matter how harsh the lecture was,
I can embrace the lectures and learn something new.

I am from the heart-warming and caring.
And I wouldn't change that no matter what.
