Chapter Eleven - Reasons to Love You

Yeonjun had his head in his arms, which rested on top of the car. He tried to fade out the noise and sounds around him apart from the noise in his head that he would never get rid of. He had to take out his earphones to make a call to the Motel they were sleeping at last night, making sure that his wallet was still there. He didn't put them in again, the noise getting louder and louder with every second.

It was when someone put one earphone back in his right ear, that stopped the noise from torturing Yeonjun further. When he looked up from resting his head on his arms, he saw Beomgyu holding his phone in his hands, playing a random song from their playlist. Yeonjun couldn't differ if Beomgyu was smiling out of pity or because of the sun that was shining right at his face. It wasn't either of them. He wanted to comfort him with the look on his face because he knew how much Yeonjun especially stared at Beomgyu when he smiled. And he knew that it calmed him down.

"Why didn't you bring any money? You are rich." Yeonjun started speaking and watched Beomgyu's smile turn into an offended gaze.

"Yeah if you say so, I'm rich. But if someone tells me I don't have to pay for anything then I won't bring my money with me."

"Why the hell do you trust the things I say?" Yeonjun whined and laid his head back.

"Because you have a trusting face? I don't know."

"No he hasn't." Taehyun exclaimed from behind Beomgyu and stared at Yeonjun with a blank expression.

"Does this mean we have to go back?" Soobin now asked with big eyes, interrupting Beomgyu and Yeonjun's dispute.

"No. We are going to continue driving to Ratport City. I'm gonna get my wallet when we drive back from there."

"You think we're gonna survive the rest of the trip without food and a place to sleep?" Taehyun genuinely asked.

"Well, actually..." Kai spoke up with a grin on his face. He grabbed Yeonjun's backpack from the car roof, opened it and pulled out various bags and boxes of instant food as well as a few snacks and drinks. His grin grew bigger with every package he pulled out of the bag.

"Did you just put the things you have stolen in my backpack?" Yeonjun looked at him with a blank face but he actually didn't care about it at all. It was better than having nothing to eat for the next 24 hours.

"Did you really just steal that?" Taehyun asked, his voice sounded more shocked than his face showed.

"Obviously, yeah." Kai turned his gaze away from Taehyun and looked at Soobin, his smile getting bigger.

"I managed to secure the chocolate pretzels for us." Soobin blushed involuntarily at Kai's comment. He didn't like chocolate that much but Soobin felt the urge to get used to it.

"And where are we sleeping tonight?" Beomgyu now asked and looked at Yeonjun for an answer. He just returned his gaze but kept quiet.

Yeonjun sighed loudly, mainly out of frustration, before lifting his arms from the roof of the car and propping his hands on the edge of the door in front of him.

"Well, my dad always says it's important to have sleeping bags in your car for emergencies like such."

"What, is your dad a camper person?"

"Yes." Yeonjun stared down Kai with a blank face only for him to nod while pouting his lips.

"Guess we will go camping then." Kai put the stolen food and snacks back into Yeonjun's bag, opened the car door he was standing in front of and sat himself into the car.

Soobin and Taehyun looked at each other before walking up to the same door and entering the car just like Kai did. Beomgyu watched them both and turned his head to Yeonjun after he heard the car door shut.
