Overview: Y/n and Sam get up to their usual antics during a mission. (I actually briefly mentioned this mission in the main story, so I thought it'd be fun to flesh it out a bit more!)

"Peter's aunt has got it going on-" Sam chimed in a sing-song voice, switching out the lyrics to the song playing on his earpiece. Tony had figured out a way to upgrade the earpieces so that music could play in the background if they wanted, not wanting to deal with y/n and Peter accidentally tossing out the wrong earpiece.
"Hey!" Peter called out over his earpiece, huffing at the mixture of laughter and scolding that erupted from the team.
Y/n laughed, tuning into Sam's music channel so that she could join in. "She's all I want, and I've been waiting for so long!" She sang in a dramatic tone, using her dagger as a makeshift microphone. "Peter can't you see? You're just not the guy for me-" She cut herself off in laughter as the team either joined in or bickered over their earpieces.
"I know it might be wrong, but I'm in love with Peter's aunt!" Sam and y/n sang in unison, holding out the last note just to overdramatise it as much as possible.
"I hate you all." Peter huffed, but it was obvious in his tone of voice that he was smiling. He knew they weren't being serious about it.

The team were currently on a mission in an abandoned mansion. A wanted crime group had been running rampant across the country, and nobody seemed to be able to stop them without getting seriously hurt. So, the Avengers were called. Probably a bit over-the-top, but the team didn't seem to mind. They'd received a tip-off that the group had something stashed in the mansion. So, the team were there to stop them. Typical sting operation. Easy.
The mansion felt more like a shopping mall. It was huge. Several swimming pools, two home gyms, a floor with only cinema rooms, several elevators, a slide from the top floor right down to the bottom, and so much more. It was a crazy, eclectic culmination of a person with far too much money.
Y/n and Sam had been tasked in hiding out in the library. It was definitely because the team knew how much chaos they'd cause if they were stationed anywhere else in the mansion, but they didn't need to know that. Natasha could imagine the carnage of the pair bombing it down that slide and right into the enemies. It'd be funny, but not very practical.

"You love us really, Pete!" Y/n exclaimed happily into her earpiece, strolling into the library with Sam. She couldn't wipe the cheesy grin from her face as she listened to Steve try and steer the focus back to the mission. God, as soon as she stepped into the briefing room, she knew this mission was going to be fun. Everyone was in such a good mood, which was pretty surprising. They'd had at least one mission every day for two weeks, they were supposed to be miserable, but routine seemed to actually be doing the team some good.
The library was as huge and as extravagant as everything else in the mansion, and, like the rest of the building, it was covered in a thick layer of dust. Several open floors of wall lined with books. Hundreds - probably thousands - of books. There were even little signs that led to different parts of the library, from a colourful children's section to a dreary horror section.
