Overview: After becoming severely injured during a trip, the man in the suit carries y/n into a bamboo forest in a desperate search for help. What they didn't expect was to be taken in by a mystical village full of people who seemed to be very suspicious of the man in the suit. (I'm not sure if this is canon or not, but I feel like it would be! Y/n always seems to interact with everything.)

Warnings: Slight angst and mention of injury.

"Help! Somebody! Please!"

*****

Everything had been going so smoothly. It was y/n's first time out of the facility, first time on a private plane, and first time pretending to be a 'normal girl'. Yes, she'd pretend whenever people came to visit the fake factory above the facility, but that was different. She always had something sticky wedged between her teeth to stop her from talking, but not for this trip.

The man in the suit had decided to take y/n with him for his visit to China. He was talking to a lot of high-up people, so he thought it'd be a great idea to show them his 'daughter'. He'd created the facade that he was just proud of her, but that wasn't true. Y/n was simply there so he didn't get shot. She was his shield.

He didn't expect the little girl to actually be his shield.

The pair had been sat in the back of the car whilst two guards sat in the front. It was a very fancy car, especially for the mid-1920s, but y/n was oblivious to that. he was far more fascinated by the beautiful scenery. Rolling fields of green. It reminded her of home.

The man in the suit had chosen to take the back roads so that they could avoid any unwanted attention, but that had gone completely wrong. There was a car following them. Everyone, except y/n, knew that it was far more than just a coincidence.

It was important to stay calm. Not only so that the little girl would stay oblivious, but also because they were sure that they could get the car off of their trail. God, they were wrong. As soon as the strange car started to slow down, the man in the suit knew exactly what was coming, and he had no time to react.

A bomb had been placed under their car, and it had just been detonated.

The car exploded into a mass of flames as it flipped and rolled. It engulfed the guards, causing the bullets in their guns to explode and worsen the already terrible situation. The man in the suit had been launched out of the car during the explosion, fire sizzling at his pristine suit. He'd hit his head hard on a rock, but that wasn't his main priority. No injury mattered more than y/n.

"Princess!" He screamed out, forcing himself up and onto his feet. He stumbled and wheezed toward the car, smoke infecting his lungs. The heat from the burning vehicle made it feel as if he was walking toward the sun itself, but he had to keep pushing. He'd get y/n out if it was the last thing he ever did. Blood dripped from his forehead as he stumbled toward y/n's side of the car, yelling out in pain as he forced the melting door open, and that was when he saw her.

Eyes open. Sweltering flames gnawed at her dress and welded her shoes to her feet, yet there didn't seem to be any movement from the little girl. No attempt to escape. She was just staring forward. Explosions had never been a kind thing for y/n, neither had fire, but this was different. She was frozen, but not just out of shock. Out of fear. She didn't want to look down and figure out what was causing the sharp pain in her stomach.
