TW: mentions of abuse
Remus' POV
James paced around his bedroom, and Remus seriously believed he was going to mess up his floor. He couldn't blame James, he felt as nervous but he was used to hiding now he felt.
"Why hasn't he sent us a letter?" James was frowning.
Remus didn't know how to answer, so he didn't. He wanted to know too. It had been a few days since the train and every moment he thought about Sirius his chest hurt.
He had a bad feeling.
"He'll be alright James, he's Sirius Black. He will find a way to escape, maybe as a dog."
"Yes, right. That makes sense." James sat down on the floor. He looked young but at the same time so old. He was tired.
"James you need to get some sleep. Take a nap before the Pettigrews get here." Remus used his best authority voice.
"I don't need sleep."
"Yes you do, you've been up since we left the station. You killing your self by exhaustion won't help Sirius. Now bed."
James reluctantly got up. "Sorry. I know I'm got being fun."
"It's okay. I'm worried too, get some rest I'll wake you up in a few hours."
James nodded and crawled onto his bed. Remus left the room, he wanted a nap as well but decided to spend time with his parents since he rarely saw them.
Remus had a strange relationship with his parents. They loved each other, they really did. But because of his condition they kept him at home and wouldn't let him make friends until he went to Hogwarts. Even then they didn't want him to make any, they were too afraid his secret would get out
It had, but not in the way they expected.
Hope Lupin had long blonde hair, and the same blue eyes Remus did. Unlike her son, she had no scars on her. She was pretty tall and took to the Wizarding world better than one could be expected to.
That's as until her son get bit by a werewolf. She hadn't stopped loving him, or doting on him. But there was always a sense of guilt and sadness in her. Like she could've prevented it. She could not have.
Lyall Lupin had the same hair color Remus did, a lightish brown, and was also tall. He looked old, much older than he really was. But when you cause your son to be bitten by a werewolf, it would do that to you. Remus thought bitterly. He knew that was unfair, and his father loved him deeply but Remus still hung in to that resentment. His father talking bad about werewolves and how they deserve no rights is what caused a werewolf to turn Remus.
"Hello Remmy, Darling. Come sit and have some tea." His mum gestured to the seat next her. He smiled a small smile, he didn't want her to know how worried he was.
"Remus, where's James?" Euphemia Potter sat a cup of tea in front of him. And then pushed a plate of biscuits to him as well.
"He's taking a nap, he hasn't slept a lot." Euphemia nodded. She looked exhausted too.
Hope looked at Remus and the at Euphemia. "Does this have something to do with that boy, Sirius? The one you write about."
Remus blushed but nodded.
"You said he's with his parents, why are you worried?" Hope was gentle with the question but it made Remus flinch all the same.
He didn't know how to explain. So he didn't.
