Clifford Blossom killed Jason and FP confessed in order to protect Jughead. However, FP still had to stay in prison because of his part to play in the murder. Cliff Blossom later hung himself. And my step-father Hiram was coming home. Anyway, I was eating breakfast at the Pembrooke with Jade. Ronnie and Kailey were drinking cups of coffee while Mom was organizing a bouquet of flowers.
"And when should I be expecting Mr. Lodge?" Smithers asked.
"Not until the end of the month, but everything has to be perfect," Mom said.
"Yes, we would not want to make Daddy angry," Veronica said.
"That'll be all, Smithers. Thank you," Mom said. "He's your father, Veronica, not the Godfather," Mom said walking past. I stood up and hopped after her with my crutches.
"Jesus, you walk too fast," I said. Mom stopped and turned around to look at me.
"What's up?" Mom asked.
"I know that all eyes are on the Southside but I wanted to let you know that I'm still going to do that sports club on the Southside," I said.
"Honey, it's a mess over there," Mom said.
"These kids need sports now more than ever. If Mayor McCoy and Sheriff Keller are so concerned about drugs over there now is the best time to get in there and show those kids that it doesn't have to come down to drugs. Sports saved me in New York. I never considered taking a pill or snorting a line because I was so conscious of keeping my body healthy for sports," I said.
"You're not taking no for an answer are you?" Mom asked.
"Oh, I wasn't asking for permission. I was just giving you a heads up," I said. Mom shook her head at me.
"You just promise to be careful," Mom said.

I was sitting in the construction trailer doing schoolwork while Mom was doing paperwork. Dad walked in.
"You wanna tell me who those guys are out there?" Dad asked.
"Our new crew. I let the Serpents go," Mom said causing me to sit up straight.
"You fired them? Why would you do that?" Dad asked.
"The Mayor and Sheriff Keller are cracking down. Especially on the Serpents," Mom said.
"Those guys stood by us, okay? When we had no one else," Dad said.
"Hiram is coming home. I can't let him, or this project, be associated with criminals," Mom said.
"You don't get to make unilateral decisions. 'Cause we're partners, remember?" Dad asked.
"Actually, Hiram and I have talked, and we'd like to buy you out. Fred. I've dragged you into a situation that you never wanted to be a part of," Mom said.
